It's time for our next in person peer supervision and social and we can't wait!!

These sessions are for any therapists who want to connect and spend time with like minded therapists. We spend time creating, eating a delicious homemade lunch, chatting and laughing. The community that's building is so special and we have therapists from all across the north West come and join us and we'd love to invite you too!

🌈 Rainbow Roots 🌈

We are so excited to announce our new programme which has been brought together through all of our clinical and personal experience. We're combining our knowledge of parenthood, play therapy and filial therapy into a succinct mentoring programme for parents. Across 8 weeks, there will be 5 in person or online sessions to delve into whatever your family needs.

This is a programme for parents/carers who feel they need to be supported therapeutically to bring back connection and fun into their family lives. We'll look at where you're at now, what you're hoping for and then dive straight into therapeutic strategies to help and support this.

As this is over 8 weeks, there will be communication and support throughout as well as the 5 in depth sessions held together.
This is such an exciting opportunity for families who want to learn more about connection through play, regulation, the importance of sleep, limit setting, and so much more!

There are limited spaces available, but bookings are open now, so please get in touch for more information. We cannot wait to work together to create long lasting family connections through play 🌈🧡

🌈 Back to School Tips 🌈

It's not long now until routine is back and for a lot of our children, they're starting or back to school! After 6 weeks off, the transition back can feel huge so hopefully some of these little ideas can help!

We thought it was about time we actually introduced ourselves over here!!
We co-own the hub, and have done since September 2025.

We met while studying the PG Diploma in Play Therapy in Chester, Charlotte covered Emily's maternity cover in 2023 and since then, we haven't left each other's side. When Emily opened the hub, we quite quickly started doing bits of work together and then decided to take the next step together.

Together we work so well! Emily's the performer, Charlotte's the organiser, Emily's the ideas girl, Charlotte's the let's put them in action girl, ying and yang, who fit perfectly together! We laugh, cry, stress, laugh again and drink tea together! What more could we want in a business partner and friend! 🧡

When you enquire through the hub it will be one of us you will be talking with, and we will support you in every way we can. Our passion and joint belief in children and what they can achieve with the right support and help is off the charts! We pride ourselves in holding space for all emotions, whether that's deep sadness, or overflowing joy! We've got you and your children and we can't wait to watch you flourish 🌈

🌈 Control in the Playroom 🌈

Control is a theme that pops up all the time in therapy, and it can look so different for each child, and/or, for each session! We often think of controlling play being the person who always makes the decisions, needs to go first, decides who's playing what character and sometimes, it can feel quite hard.

The type of control you can see in this (recreated by me) picture, is order, it's calm, it's taking their time, it's organising. Sometimes, control can also be these behaviors. When we're feeling rushed, or untidy, or we're not allowed to make the rules, slowing down and carefully deciding where every last piece goes, is therapeutic control. And that, is powerful!

This is another beautiful reminder why play therapy is so incredible and powerful. When we truly give that space for a child, and when we genuinely trust that they know what they need to do, they do it and we see huge changes! 🧡🌈
