The role will appeal to self-reliant individuals who want a role that allows flexible, home based working during school term time. Hours are flexible and include evening meetings to meet the requirements of our leaders in schools. We are looking for individuals who have excellent administrative skills, strong customer care skills and a personal commitment to excellence in service delivery. You must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and translate complex information into easily understood guidance.
Responsible For
Administrative and organisational support to the board.
This is a zero hours contract as the number of hours available per week is variable. Full training will be provided to successful applicants.

Due to our successful expansion programme we are seeking clerks to join our team working across Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
Do you know someone who has good attention to detail, has good interpersonal skills, is literate and writes well and is looking for some additional work? They can do as much or as little as they want.
We offer training, a competitive rate of pay, and travel expenses for home-based clerks/personal assistants with knowledge of the education environment. The number of meetings varies across schools (from 1 to 6 per term), you will also be given the option to pick up further meetings for absent colleagues. Meetings generally take place in the evenings at schools and usually last up to 3 hours.

The role is to:
Provide advice to Governing Boards on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
Provide effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees.
Ensure the governing body is properly constituted.
Manage information in accordance with legal requirements.

How much does a a member of your staff cost you when they are off sick? I'll let you work that out. Don't forget it is not always about the financial cost, but also about the impact on other members of your team who have to pick up the slack.

OK, we can't do much about the bugs and physical illnesses (unless you do work to improve physical fitness, improving diet and so on). Can we do something about mental ill heath? Yes we can, especially if we can pick up the early signs.

How good are we at spotting the early signs of mental ill health? Have you considered sending a member of your staff on a mental health first aid course?
