A Summer to Remember Across Rotherwood Healthcare!

Over the past few weeks, our care homes have welcomed residents, families and local communities for a fantastic series of Summer Garden Parties and seasonal celebrations.

From BBQs, live music and games to raffles, craft stalls and delicious treats, every event created meaningful moments while raising funds for some incredible local charities, including Colwall Community Church, Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith, Home-Start Telford & Wrekin, Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre, Acorns Children's Hospice and St Michael's Hospice - Hereford.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and helped make each event such a success. We're also incredibly grateful to the local businesses, entertainers and community groups who supported our homes along the way.

Congratulations, Jenny!

We're incredibly proud to share that Jenny Gordon, Clinical Lead at Dorset House Nursing Home, has been named a finalist in The Good Nurse Award category at this year's Worcestershire Health & Social Care Awards.

Jenny has dedicated more than a decade of her career to supporting residents and their families with compassion and clinical expertise. Whether mentoring team members, championing person-centred care or speaking up for residents, she consistently goes above and beyond.

Becoming a finalist is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the difference Jenny makes every day.

Supporting the Next Generation of Talent

Last Friday, members of the Rotherwood Healthcare team attended the Pershore College Jobs and Careers Fair, alongside more than 50 regional employers from a wide range of industries.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Pershore College meet students, job seekers and career changers, and discuss future internships, work placements and apprenticeships.

Events like these are an important part of our commitment to attracting talented individuals and supporting the next generation of care professionals. Thank you to Pershore College for hosting such a successful event, and to everyone who stopped by our stand to learn more about careers at Rotherwood Healthcare.

We are honoured to be recognised for the exceptional care we provide across our homes. This award celebrates our commitment to creating safe, supportive, and compassionate environments where residents can maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Through preventative wellness initiatives, evidence-led dementia care, strong clinical governance, and dedicated teams, resident safety is embedded in everything we do.

Members of our team had a wonderful evening celebrating both this achievement and the incredible care industry alongside so many inspiring professionals.
