The unpaid carer stats are staggering:

➡️ Around 1.8 million people in England are providing some form of dementia care to a loved one.

➡️ Carers spend the equivalent of 4 working days a week providing essential practical and emotional support.

➡️ One third are providing more than 100 care hours weekly. 🤯

Dementia Action Week is underway and we say engaging with community networks, being socially active, and accessing expert guidance are the cornerstones of caring for loved ones with .

Bridget Lawler, Belong Admiral Nurse, comments:
“In our experience, there are many, many families muddling through the complexities and emotions of supporting a loved one with dementia. Advice and guidance are out there, so this Dementia Action Week, be sure to explore the options and get in touch.”

Happy International Nurses' Day! ⚕️🧑‍⚕️

On this recognition day, we express our gratitude to our wonderful nurses for their unrelenting compassion, professionalism and dedication to their vocation.

Throughout the villages we've had special breakfasts, celebratory presentations featuring personal stories, and well wishes messages from customers and colleagues. They've also been showered with gifts (because why not?). 👏

We are thrilled to be co-sponsoring Southport Flower Show Ladies' Day 2026. 🪻👒

It's a pleasure to be supporting this colourful community event ahead of our new care village, Belong Birkdale, opening later this year.

Our wonderful team will be on hand at a dedicated stand across the four-day event to share details of the village and options for residential care, independent living apartments, home care, day care, and everything that comes with being part of village life. Job opportunities info will be available for those interested.

Dementia Action Week (DAW) is coming and Chester Nub News has been chatting with Belong Dementia UK Admiral Nurse Bridget Lawler, about the service, as well the monthly B's Cafe that takes place across all our villages. ☕️
