Practising what I preach. 🎧✨

As a facilitator, mum, wife, friend I hold a lot of space for others, but underneath it all, I am human too. I always know exactly when I am overdue for a journey.

Lately, life has just been life—busy, full, and requiring me to wear so many different hats. So, I took myself into the Zen Den, put on the 9D headsets, and dove into our newest journey: The Emergence.

The message I received during this session was profound, and it was exactly what my nervous system needed to hear: I don’t need to wear any hats. I just need to be me. Just Mel.

This practice will always be my ultimate tool for coming home to myself. It strips away the noise. That is what 9D breathwork is all about—creating much-needed internal space and unapologetically leaving behind whatever no longer serves you.

Why "The Emergence" is so powerful:

Tribal Energy: It taps into a deep, primal, and incredibly grounding rhythm.

A Personal Path: The script is masterfully designed to give you the freedom to go exactly where you need to go at that given time.

Completely Unique: No two journeys are the same. What you experience will be uniquely tailored to what your body needs to process. That is the true magic of breathwork!

If you are feeling the weight of your own "hats" and need a safe container to just be you, come breathe with me.

Join me for The Emergence:

When: Friday 3rd July at 6.30pm

Where: The

Spaces: Only a few headsets left!

A story about why I do what I do. 🤍

That’s my 5-year-old celebrating her gymnastics competition today.

But the moment that had me in tears today had nothing to do with her winning a medal. It was the girl coaching her.

She was a former Year 10 student from my old teaching days. She completely detested my French classes. She was the definition of "disengaged."

But today? She was an absolute powerhouse. Caring, sharp, encouraging, and an incredibly talented high-level Team GB gymnast.

This was such a beautiful reminder that the traditional school system often labels kids based on things that don't reflect their true potential.

It brought me straight back to my own school days. I was the rebel, smoking in the toilets, skipping classes, and nearly expelled right before my A-levels because I was working night shifts in a bar to pay rent for my flat.

I survived because some ace friends and their parents looked out for me.

But I spent years stuck in a survival state. I didn't learn how to regulate my nervous system, how to process my emotions safely, or how to drop out of fight-or-flight until I was an adult.

What I would have given for someone to hand me a headset in school and show me the power of my own breath.

This is exactly why we built 9D Breathwork Schools 💚

We are here to give the next generation the tools I wish I had when I was sitting in those hallways feeling completely and utterly misunderstood.

Let's change the way we support our kids. 🏫🎯

I’ve been a German teacher for 17 years now.

Even as 9D Breathwork Schools grows and we roll out to more cohorts across the country, I don’t think I’ll ever fully step away from the classroom.

Walking in, standing at the front, and teaching a lesson keeps everything entirely real for me. It is the single best way to ensure that the regulation tools we are building actually work in a busy school on a rainy Tuesday, rather than just sounding good in a boardroom.

The best way for me to support the schools we are partnering with is to stay right there in the trenches alongside them.

Plus, if I’m honest, I don't think I'll ever outgrow the simple joy of handing a star sticker to a student who has genuinely earned it!

Tonight’s breathwork journey was truly special. ✨

We breathed through the “Letting Go & Moving On” journey, and the energy in the room was absolutely incredible — so much presence, emotion, release, connection, and magic.

Then, as if the universe wanted to add an extra touch of symbolism, two baby magpies appeared in the toilet after the journey… followed later by a black cat that hang with me whilst packing up 🖤

It felt like a reminder of transformation, new beginnings, intuition, and trusting the process of change.

Every breathwork journey is different.

Every room carries its own energy.

And every time, I’m reminded how powerful it is when people come together, open their hearts, breathe deeply, and allow themselves to let go 💚

So much gratitude for everyone who shared the space tonight. ✨💫

Thank you, my gorgeous bunch, for breathing with me x

Pouring rain, slippery plates, and a whole lot of grit.

Took on the .dozen this weekend, and honestly, the brutal weather was the absolute perfect backdrop.

Because really, this wasn't just about a fitness event. It’s what this whole training journey has stood for: showing up for myself, even (and especially) when I don't want to.

It’s a mirror for life.

We all have those days where we just don't fancy it. But that’s where the resilience is built.

It ties right into 9D Breathwork and working with the connected breath—when the discomfort hits, you breathe through it, regulate, and remind yourself that you can do hard things. You show up anyway, and you always, always feel better on the other side.

But the best part? Not having to do it alone.

Getting through the hard stuff is so much easier when you're in the trenches with your people.

I am so incredibly grateful for these women, the friends in my life, my work colleagues who I get to call mates and who help me grow, push me to be better, and remind me to laugh and not take life too seriously—even when we're absolutely drenched and exhausted on a track. 😂👯‍♀️

Here’s to doing hard things, showing up, and laughing through the rain. ✨

"I’m actually looking forward to coming back to school so that I can do breathwork."

I received this text today from a former colleague of mine who is currently on maternity leave.

To hear an educator say they are actively looking forward to returning to the building specifically for a regulation practice... that is the ultimate reminder of my "why."

For two and a half years, I delivered and embedded this exact breathwork infrastructure into the culture of my last teaching school, alongside teaching my regular timetable, and then supported our 7 pilot schools during our 8-week core programme whilst collecting all the relevant data.

I saw firsthand how it transformed the daily reality for our classrooms and our staff room.

Fast forward to today, and the last couple of weeks at 9D Breathwork Schools have been absolutely incredible.

From supporting our pilot schools delivering the programme, helping develop the platform, building relationships, to delivering our latest leadership seminars, the momentum for proactive nervous system regulation is building fast.

But amidst the busy seminars and the scaling, it is these small, quiet moments—a text from a colleague, or seeing educators finally find a moment of deep rest — that truly ground me.

We are creating a ripple effect.

Because when we embed these tools into a school's culture, we are making a difference for the entire ecosystem.

Every single student, teacher, parent, carer, and guardian counts.

This is why we do what we do. 🎧💙

What if the most powerful tool to help our students manage anxiety and find focus was already right under their noses? 🌬️✨

For the past 3 years, we’ve been bringing 9D Breathwork into UK secondary schools.

We aren’t talking about theories or concepts; we are working with real students facing real, everyday challenges.

We wanted a solution that didn't involve months of therapy, medication, or sitting on massive waiting lists.

So, we measured everything. Attendance data, behaviour logs, and real-time feedback from teachers and parents.

The results?

📉 Significant reductions in anxiety
📈 Better attendance and student engagement
🧘‍♀️ Calmer, more regulated classroom environments
🚫 Fewer behavioural incidents logged

It’s scientifically proven to shift the nervous system from fight-or-flight to calm and focused in just minutes.

And the best part?

It’s just the breath.

Watch the video to hear more about the incredible impact this is having in our schools. 👇

✨ You can think you’ve let go…
But if your body is still holding it, you’re not free yet.

So many of us understand things mentally —
“I’m over it.”
“I’ve moved on.”

But the truth?
If it hasn’t been felt, it hasn’t been released.

🌬️ The body keeps the score.
And real letting go happens through feeling — not thinking.

This is where breath comes in.
It bypasses the mind and allows the body to finally process, release, and reset.
