Some services stay with you long after the day itself, and this was certainly one of them.
One of the greatest honours of being a celebrant is being invited into a family's world at such an important time. Sitting together, listening to stories, recollections and treasured moments, then weaving those threads into something that truly reflects the life being celebrated, is a privilege I never take for granted.
The loss of a loved one is never easy, but helping families find moments of connection, laughter and remembrance amongst the sadness is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
This particular service allowed me to share the story of a truly vibrant and unforgettable character whose personality shone through every anecdote and memory. Bringing those pieces together and crafting a ceremony that reflected the people, relationships and moments at its heart was a deeply meaningful experience.
