A couple of gorgeous autumn events coming up…

Two very different spaces, but both with the same intention at their heart, giving you an opportunity to pause, come back to yourself and make space for whatever this season is bringing up.

šŸ‚ 4th October | Release & Return
Pendle Wellbeing Hub | 9:30–11:30am

Nature shows us every autumn that letting go is part of the process.

This morning is an invitation to reflect on what you might be ready to release: stress, overwhelm, uncertainty, burnout, or simply some of the mental load you’ve been carrying.

We’ll use guided journaling and meditation before finishing with guided hypnosis paired with a beautiful sound bath from Stics & Stones Sound Healing.

If you’ve been to one of my sessions before, you’ll know the ending is a space to completely switch off. Lie down, get cosy and allow yourself to be held and rest. If you fall asleep, even better ✨

I loved working alongside Stics & Stones at our last event, so I’m very happy we’re doing it again.

🌿 20th October | Embracing Uncertainty
Online | 7–9pm

This one is a collaboration with my lovely friend Gemma, who I met through NLP training a few years ago. We clicked immediately and since then our paths have developed in beautifully complementary directions. I’ve moved further into counselling and therapeutic work, while Gemma has trained in Conscious Connected Breathwork.

I’ll guide us through journaling and meditation exploring why we seek certainty, what we can and can’t control, and how we can create more steadiness when life doesn’t give us all the answers.

Gemma will then guide us through Conscious Connected Breathwork, a continuous breathing practice that can support emotional exploration, awareness and connection with the body.

Two opportunities to slow things down this autumn šŸ

Both are available to book through the events page on my website:

How much of your peace are you putting on hold until you know what happens next?

Until you get the answer.
Until the decision is made.
Until you know where you stand.
Until life feels a little more certain.

Our minds naturally seek certainty. We like to know what’s coming because it helps us feel safe. But when life feels uncertain, it can leave us overthinking, worrying about the future and trying to find answers that simply aren’t available yet.

Embracing Uncertainty is a gentle online session exploring how we can find a little more steadiness within the unknown, rather than waiting for everything around us to feel certain before we allow ourselves to feel calm.

I’ll guide you through reflective journalling and meditation, exploring our relationship with uncertainty and how we can begin to build more trust in ourselves.

Then Gemma will guide us through Conscious Connected Breathwork, offering space to release tension, regulate the nervous system and reconnect with yourself.

And this collaboration is a special one for me šŸ’š

Gemma and I actually met during our NLP training at The Sanctuary of Healing. We hit it off straight away, have become good friends since, and I’m so excited to finally bring our work together in one space.

If life currently feels a little up in the air or you recognise how much time you spend trying to think your way into certainty, this session is for you.

Embracing Uncertainty
Tuesday 20th October
7pm–9pm
Online via Zoom

Reflective Journalling • Meditation • Conscious Connected Breathwork

Unpopular opinion: the little things DO work.

Journalling. Meditation. Gratitude. The boring little practices you’ve probably been told to do a hundred times.

I keep seeing people saying they ā€œdon’t workā€.

And I disagree.

I think sometimes we confuse ā€œthis feels uncomfortableā€ with ā€œthis isn’t working.ā€

You sit down to meditate and your brain gets LOUD.
You journal and suddenly you’re face-to-face with thoughts you’ve been avoiding.
You practise gratitude and, some days, it feels forced rather than transformative.

So you try it a handful of times and think… well, that did nothing.

But these practices aren’t necessarily supposed to give you an instant emotional payoff.

Sometimes the benefit is in the repetition.

Learning to sit with yourself.
Learning to notice your thoughts without immediately following them.
Learning where your attention naturally goes.
Learning to deliberately look for what is here, alongside what is difficult.

And no, that doesn’t mean every practice is right for every person, or that we should keep forcing something that genuinely isn’t helping us.

But I do think we’ve become very quick to dismiss simple practices because they don’t immediately make us feel better.

Sometimes growth is repetitive.
Sometimes it’s boring.
And it can be uncomfortable.

You may not notice what those tiny practices have been doing until you look back and realise you respond to your life differently.

So maybe the question isn’t always:

ā€œDoes this work?ā€

Maybe it’s:

ā€œHave I actually practised it long enough to find out?ā€

And while we’re here, I want to share more opinions.

Not because you have to agree with me. Quite the opposite.

I think we NEED to brush up against other people’s ideas sometimes. Because the reaction that happens inside us can tell us so much about what we value, what matters to us and how we want to live.

So disagree with me if you disagree.

I’m interested in the conversation šŸ’š

We can spend so much of our lives looking ahead.

Thinking about what needs doing next, what needs changing, what we’re working towards, what we’ll do when we finally have more time, more money, more space, more certainty…

And meanwhile, there’s life….Right here! You are in it, beautiful messy life.

The cup of tea. The sun through the trees. Your child laughing. A conversation with someone you love. A quiet five minutes where nobody needs anything from you.

There will always be more to do and more to work towards, but when is it enough? This feels like an important question to ponder šŸ¤”

A little Sunday reminder to notice what’s already good & if life feels heavy right now and that’s hard to find, please be gentle with yourself.

Indian head massage is particularly good for relaxation and releasing tension around the upper body. This treatment focuses on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, the face and jaw.

It can be lovely for:

šŸ’†ā€ā™€ļø Relieving muscular tension in the neck, shoulders and upper back
🧠 Helping you mentally switch off and reducing feelings of stress
😓 Supporting relaxation and better sleep
šŸ¤• Easing some tension-type headaches, particularly where neck/scalp tension contributes
🌿 Encouraging a general sense of calm and wellbeing
šŸ’» Helping with that tight, hunched feeling from desk work, driving or lots of phone use
✨ Stimulating the scalp and leaving the head and face feeling refreshed
šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø Calming the nervous system

Ready to soften some of that tension and give yourself a little space to switch off?

Indian Head Massage appointments are available to book via Booksy - studio2-1-4.booksy.com/a/

We don’t want gratitude become another stick we use to beat ourselves with.

There will be mornings when you wake up excited for the day, and others when being here feels heavy. There will be seasons filled with joy, and seasons where living well simply means getting through, accepting support and being gentle with yourself.

For me, remembering that life is temporary isn’t about forcing positivity or pretending the difficult parts don’t exist.

It’s about asking:

Am I present for the life that is here now?
Am I making space for what really matters to me?
Am I allowing myself to live or am I endlessly waiting until I’m happier, healthier, more confident or more healed?

We don’t need to make every day extraordinary. Perhaps living well is found in the ordinary things: drinking your tea while it’s still warm, telling someone you love them, noticing the sky, starting again after a hard day, or finally choosing something your heart has been quietly asking for.

We’re here once!

Not to live perfectly. Not to feel grateful every moment. But, when we can, to meet this one life with a little more presence, meaning and love. šŸ’š
