In June, our incredible team cared for 3406 patients who came to us with illness or injury. We get busy when the sun comes out!
Thanks to their dedication and teamwork:

✅ 97% were seen within 4 hours

Happy International Paramedics Day!

Wednesday 8th July is International Paramedics Day, and we want to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful paramedics who are part of our multidisciplinary teams at the Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre!

Enjoying the great outdoors this summer?

Wonderful, just watch out for ticks!
Ticks are tiny insects found in grassy and wooded areas, and their bites can occasionally cause Lyme disease if not treated early. But you do not need to visit the UTC to get them removed!

Here's what to do:

🔍 Check your skin (and your children's and pets') after time outdoors

🚫 Don't crush or burn a tick — use fine-tipped tweezers to remove it safely

🩺 Look out for a circular rash, flu-like symptoms or fatigue in the weeks that follow

It's serious hot at the moment and we want you to stay safe and well!
During periods of extreme heat, it's so important to take care of yourself and those around you. Here are a few simple tips:💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day

🪟 Keep curtains closed during the hottest part of the day

🧴 Wear sunscreen and a hat if you're heading outside

👴 Check in on elderly neighbours, young children and anyone who may be vulnerable

🚨 If you or someone you know feels unwell due to the heat, call NHS 111 or in an emergency dial 999.

In March, our incredible team cared for 3120 patients who came to us with illness or injury. That's up from 2500 in February and despite the increase in patient numbers the team have maintained their outstanding stats ensure that patients are triaged, seen and treated quickly and efficiently...

5-star feedback for Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre

We’ve just received a lovely review from a patient who attended Lymington UTC with an inflamed toe.

They had hoped to be prescribed antibiotics, but instead received clear clinical advice on how best to manage the condition. That guidance worked well, and the patient shared that although they were initially disappointed not to receive antibiotics, they’re really glad to have avoided them this time.

It’s a great example of careful, appropriate prescribing and supporting patients with the right care at the right time.

Thank you to the team for the continued focus on safe, thoughtful practice — and to our patients for taking the time to share their experience.
