The Gatehouse Residential Care Home A friendly, family run residential home for the elderly in Barton on Sea. We are always happy and pleased to meet any intending residents and their relatives.

The Gatehouse Residential Care Home is a privately family owned home that provides residential care for the elderly. We are located in Barton-on-Sea, on the edge of the New Forest, close to the sea and the town of New Milton. The owners, Mr & Mrs Breckon have owned the home for 25 years and it has been managed by Mrs Sally Price for the last 17 years. Formerly a private residence of character and

spaciously planned standing in an acre of well stocked gardens in Becton Lance, five minutes walk from the sea front. Just ten minutes walk away is the local post office and shops while we are also on a bus route to New Milton Town centre. We would suggest a visit to the Gatehouse which will give you a clearer picture of our facilities that we are able to offer. We have just completed work on another 8 beautiful ground floor rooms, 6 with their own patio and view of garden or courtyard.

You must have experience in a similar role and ideally administering medication confidently.

You should also be reliable, conscientious, love working with the elderly and display our values in everything you do!

We totally surprised Mel today by awarding her the basket of goodies! Lots of staff spoke to me this month to say she should get it, which is really lovely and I couldn’t agree more!

Senior Care Assistant – Part-Time (21 hours per week)
£15.40 weekdays | £15.90 weekends

We are looking to add another caring and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to enhance our team. This role involves supervising the care team to ensure the delivery of quality person centred care, as well writing/reviewing care plans and performing supervisions with staff. This position also safely administers medication and is the first point of contact for visiting medical professionals.

The hours of work are based on set shifts, on a two-week rota, with alternate weekend working required. If you require full-time hours, additional care shifts may be available so please still register your interest!
