“If you go down to the woods today…”
Inspired by the treasured teddy bears some of our residents keep in their rooms, we held a special Teddy Bears' Picnic in the garden.
Residents brought along their beloved bears, many of which had been treasured since childhood and are now more than 90 years old! Over delicious teddy bear cupcakes made by our chef, everyone shared the stories and memories behind their special bears.
Our Companions brought their own teddies too, and we enjoyed learning some fascinating facts about the history of teddy bears and singing some favourite teddy bear songs.
There were plenty of smiles as the bears were passed around for cuddles - and residents agreed it had been a truly ‘beary’ special afternoon! 🧸💕
