Here is a recent, perfect example of a
‘Local Twitch Response’ from my client … this is caused by the needle hitting a ‘trigger point’ … a tight, usually tendor point of the muscle which is giving pain, discomfort & limited movement/flexibility.
This particular client presented me with lower back pain, tightness in his glute area, intermittent pain down one side of his leg and discomfort from sitting or standing in the same position for a period of time.
With targeted deep tissue work and dry needling, I was able to alleviate some pain and discomfort virtually straightaway away during the session, and my clients mobility and range of motion had increased without major pain, dramatically.
