💅 A Little Pampering Goes a Long Way 💕

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing hand care and hand massage session.

Everyone chose their favourite hand cream before being treated to a soothing hand massage, leaving hands feeling soft, refreshed and beautifully pampered. It was lovely to see so many smiles and hear how much everyone enjoyed taking a little time to relax and unwind.

Sometimes it's the simple moments of self-care that make the biggest difference. 🩷✨

A huge thank you to Ken and the Bailey family for their thoughtful gift of delicious biscuit selections and the beautiful card for our team.

Although Doris was with us for only a short time, she was a truly lovely lady who touched the hearts of both residents and staff alike. It was a privilege to care for her and to get to know her.

We're looking for a few friendly volunteers to join our lovely residents on a trip to the YMCA Café on Friday 28th August, leaving at 10:00am.

Your company, conversation and support would mean so much to our residents and help make the morning extra special.

If you have a couple of hours to spare and would like to join us, we'd love to hear from you!

🎉🩵 The happiest of birthdays to our lovely Pearl! 🩵🎉

Over the weekend, we celebrated Pearl's special day with a birthday treat made just for her. Knowing that buttercream isn't her favourite, our wonderful cook, Mel, lovingly created a beautiful fresh cream and fruit cake, topped with delicious strawberries and grapes , exactly how Pearl likes it! 🍓🍇

It's the little personal touches that make birthdays so special, and seeing Pearl's smile as she celebrated with friends made the day even more memorable.

🤠🌞 What a fantastic day at our Country & Western Summer Fair! 🌞🤠

On Saturday, Red Roofs was transformed into the Wild West, and what a day it was! We were incredibly lucky with the glorious sunshine, which made the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled afternoon enjoyed by residents, families and friends.

Our amazing team fully embraced the theme, dressing up in brilliant Country & Western outfits and bringing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way. There was even a set of stocks for some light-hearted fun, and our special miniature pony visitor was a huge hit with everyone!

From great entertainment and delicious refreshments to wonderful company and lots of laughter, it was a truly memorable day that created so many happy memories.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us and helped make the day such a success. We love bringing our community together, and seeing so many smiling faces made it all worthwhile.

🎨🦆 Getting Creative at Arts & Crafts Club! 🐟🎨

Yesterday our lovely residents enjoyed a wonderful morning at our Arts & Crafts Club, where they had the choice of making a colourful fish, a cute duck... or even both if they were feeling extra creative!

With plenty of tea, laughter, and friendly conversation, everyone had a fantastic time sharing ideas, encouraging one another, and creating some beautiful artwork. The finished fish and adorable ducks looked amazing, and each one had its own unique character.

Creative activities like these are a great way to encourage imagination, support dexterity, and, most importantly, bring everyone together for a fun and sociable time.

Well done to everyone who took part, your creations are fantastic! 💙💛🖌️

🌸 Creative Morning at Red Roofs! 🌸

Our lovely residents enjoyed a fun and creative craft session making beautiful flowers from crepe paper. Their creativity and attention to detail were truly amazing, and everyone did a fantastic job.

The finished flowers have been arranged into a stunning display, which is now proudly showcased in our reception area for everyone to enjoy. We think you'll agree they've brightened up the space beautifully!

Craft activities like these are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, support dexterity, and bring residents together for a relaxing and enjoyable morning.

This week, our residents enjoyed a fun and friendly Table Top Hoop Challenge! 🎯

Working together in pairs, everyone put their hand-eye coordination and teamwork to the test as they aimed to score as many points as possible. There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition and lots of encouragement as each team took their turn.

Halfway through the challenge, everyone enjoyed a well-deserved tea break to relax, have a chat and recharge before the games continued.

Activities like these are a fantastic way to promote coordination, concentration and social interaction, while most importantly having lots of fun together. Well done to everyone who took part! ☕🏆😊
