That’s exactly what Josh told us.

Like many people, he had been dealing with recurring lower back pain for years. Every time it flared up, the symptoms were treated, the pain settled temporarily, and then a few weeks or months later… it came back.

In this session we’re progressing through a plyometric sequence designed to improve:

Starting with overspeed banded pogos and switch pogos before progressing through skips, scissors and bounds for both height and distance.

TRUST IS EARNED.

When elite athletes need help, they come back to the people they trust.

Some of the most rewarding parts of this job aren’t the big moments.

They’re the relationships you build over years of working with people.

I first worked with Ben Betts during my time at Nottingham Rugby, supporting him through the demands that come with competing in a professional rugby environment.

Ben has enjoyed a fantastic career, representing clubs including Leicester Tigers, Nottingham Rugby and Ealing Trailfinders, as well as earning honours with Ireland U20s.

What I’m most proud of is that years later, when Ben picks up the inevitable aches, niggles and setbacks that come with years of high-level rugby, he still trusts me to help get him back on track.

Recently we’ve been working together again to address a few issues, rebuild capacity and make sure he’s in the best possible position heading into next season.
