ASK AN EVE TAYLOR THERAPIST

💬 Do I really need to use toner?

It's one of the questions we're asked most often.

The answer?

Yes—but perhaps not for the reason you think.

Today's professional toners do much more than simply remove the last traces of cleanser.

They help to refresh the skin, restore comfort after cleansing and prepare your skin to get the most from the products that follow.

Think of toner as the first step in hydrating and conditioning your skin, helping serums and moisturisers work even more effectively.

Every skin is different, so the right toner will depend on your individual skin type and concerns.

💧 Why does your reflexologist always remind you to drink plenty of water?

It’s not just a friendly reminder - it’s an important part of supporting your wellbeing.

Our bodies are made up of around 60% water, and every cell relies on it to function properly. Water helps transport nutrients, regulate body temperature, lubricate joints, support digestion, and flush waste products from the body.

When you’re dehydrated, even mildly, you may notice:
💧 Fatigue or low energy
💧 Headaches
💧 Muscle cramps
💧 Brain fog or poor concentration
💧 Dry skin
💧 Dizziness
💧 Constipation

During a reflexology treatment, your body is encouraged to relax, rebalance, and support its natural healing processes. Staying well hydrated helps your body function at its best before and after your session.

☀️ In the summer months, it’s even easier to become dehydrated. Warmer weather means we lose more fluid through sweating, and if we’re spending time outdoors, exercising, travelling, or enjoying the sunshine, our water needs increase.

A few simple ways to stay hydrated:
✅ Sip water regularly throughout the day rather than waiting until you’re thirsty.
✅ Enjoy water-rich foods like cucumber, watermelon, oranges, and strawberries.
✅ Remember that tea and coffee don’t replace water, especially on hot days.

Think of water as one of the simplest acts of self-care - it supports your body every single day.

So next time your reflexologist reminds you to drink more water, you’ll know it’s because we want you to get the very best from your treatment and feel your healthiest.

The recommended daily water intake is around 8 glasses a day, although your individual needs may vary depending on your activity level, the weather, and your overall health.
How many glasses of water have you had today?💙👣

My hope for you today, dear friends.

May you bend instead of break. May you flow instead of force. May you trust that, like water, you can find your way through places that seem impossible.

When you’re caught between a rock and a hard place… be water.
