💊 Repeat Prescription Information – Newburgh & Abernethy Surgery 💊

It is important to us to provide ways of ordering repeat medication that suit all of our patients, at a time convenient to you.

You can order your repeat prescription in the following ways:

📧 By email - at any time of the day or night - requests are processed within 2 working days
Send your request to [email protected].

💻 Online via Patient Access - at any time of the day or night - requests are processed within 2 working days
If you would like to use Patient Access (an easy to use, secure App) to order your prescriptions online, our friendly Reception team are happy to help with setting this up.

🫲By handing your repeat order form in to the surgery or chemist.

You can also still order repeat prescriptions📞 By telephone
Our prescription ordering phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm. Lines are exceptionally busy during these times and it may be difficult to get through, so we kindly ask that this option is used only by those without access to email or Patient Access.

💙 Please only order the medication you need to help reduce medicine waste and ensure medicines are available for everyone.
To help ensure you don’t run out of your medication, please order your repeat prescription at least 4 working days before you need it. This allows enough time for your request to be processed.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our prescription service running as efficiently as possible.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the practice, we are delighted to share that both entrance doors are now fully automatic!
To access the building, please use the push pad located to the right of the front door. For the internal door leading into the waiting area, the push pad can be found on the left-hand side of reception (as shown in the photo).
We hope you all agree that this improvement will make the practice more accessible and welcoming for everyone.
To help keep the doors working smoothly, we kindly ask that going forward all visitors to the surgery use the push pads to operate both doors rather than opening them manually, as this can cause the mechanism to malfunction - thank you.

☀️ Hot weather is on the way – stay safe and keep cool! ☀️

As temperatures rise, remember to:

🕶️ Stay out of direct sunlight between 11am and 3pm when UV rays are strongest

👕 Wear loose, light-coloured clothing, a hat, and sunscreen (SPF 30+)

🏃 Plan exercise and outdoor activities for cooler parts of the day

🚗 Never leave children, older people, or pets in parked vehicles

🏊 If cooling off outdoors, be aware of the risks of open water swimming and always follow safety advice
