are providing their brilliant free Santa letter service again this year, so if you’d like to receive a personalised letter for your little one from the big man himself here’s how:

Write your letter to Santa and write the address clearly on the envelope.

Make sure you put a stamp on it.

Include your child’s full name and address in the letter.

Also include a return address on the back of the envelope.

Make sure you send it by Friday 10th December.

TAG a friend with a little one who might want to receive a letter from Santa this year!

Throwing a cover over the buggy when out and about with your baby might seem like an obvious way to keep them cool and protected from the sun on a hot summer day.

‼️Covering your baby’s pram with a blanket on a hot day will significantly increase the temperature inside the pram, possibly to levels that could cause your baby to overheat.

⚠️Babies and young children are more vulnerable to the heat than older children and adults. That’s because they sweat less, their ability to regulate body temperature is less efficient and they can’t tell you when they’re feeling too hot. This puts them at increased risk of heat-related illness, dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

So, if you’re taking your baby out in a pushchair on a hot, sunny day:

✅make sure your pram is covered – preferably with an in-built sunshade (if your pram has one) or a light, well-ventilated, attachable one. These will keep baby shaded while ensuring adequate airflow.

✅Dress baby in lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.

✅Give your baby more fluids than usual, to keep hydrated.

✅Avoid peak hours and stick to the shade as much as possible.

✅Check on little ones often, feeling their skin to ensure they’re cool.

Ever wondered WHY kids can't have honey until 1? Here's the answer! This rule was so annoying to me because no one ever explains why.🙄 ⠀⁠

Infants under age 1 have a developing gut and digestive system. 👶⠀⁠
⠀⁠
Honey has clostridium botulinum spores in it. These spores can grow (colonize) in infant guts. If they colonize, they make a botulinum toxin, which can cause a botulism infection in infants. 🤕⠀⁠
⠀⁠
Botulism is super lame. I won't go into how horribly lame it is...but it's soooooo lame. Spores are in all⠀⁠
Honey. This includes ALL honey - even in cooked food. Heat may or may not kill spores (usually not), so don't give infants any food (including baked goods) that contains honey until age 1. 🙌⠀⁠

Do infants actually get botulism or is this just a "scare" thing? There were several cases in recent years from babies using honey pacifiers in the US. ⠀⁠

After 1 age, the kiddos are just fine eating honey. And honey, especially raw honey, is an amazing food! ⁠

PS It's totally fine for pregnant and nursing moms to eat honey. ⁠

This morning I received a message from this gorgeous boy’s amazing mummy.

Absolutely well done to this clever mummy! She had the information needed and acted quickly to save her baby from chocking.

"Hi Chloe,

I just wanted to send you a huge thank you. I’ve done your course twice now - loved it both times but unfortunately yesterday my worst nightmare came true.

Yesterday whilst I was driving my little boy was sick in his car seat. I saw him in my mirror and was talking to him saying it’s ok it’s ok, when suddenly he started going redder and redder whilst coughing and still gagging, then he went dark red, purple and then turned blue and silent. I realised he was choking. I pulled the car over, grabbed him out of his car seat and tipped him forward. On the 4th back blow I delivered he coughed up some food that was lodged in his throat. He gasped and started breathing again.

Thanks to the course I attended with you I knew what I needed to do. Although I was very upset afterwards during his incident I was surprisingly calm looking back. Which saved me precious seconds in getting him out and delivering the back blows I think.

I did the course when I was pregnant but again when he was weaning as I’ve always been afraid of choking.

I called 111 and a clinician did an over the phone assessment. I was told first aid quite probably saved his life.

I cannot stress enough how truly grateful I am. Your course gave me confidence i could handle things if needed at the time, and actually that time came yesterday.

I’ll be doing your course annually as a little refresher for my own sanity!

I wonder what secret farewells she was saying to him, as she stood, alone, watching the love of her life be lowered down into the ground 💔.

This will be the beginning of a very sad journey for her. The first public engagement of her entire reign, without him.

The first day of her entire reign, that she couldn't turn to him.

The first time in her entire reign, where she, was two steps behind him.

Rest in peace, your royal highness.

And God save the Queen x
