Random things that happen in the lab at the weekend.

Usually, it is just me and a participant. When I see someone else, I am surprised!

A disco ball attached to the BioDex (found out later the holder for said Disco Ball had been pilfered).

The hoover (in the background) will randomly start. The hoover beeps loudly before starting; the first time it happened, I wondered what I had pressed and nearly had a heart attack when it started moving.

Busy start to 2026. Continuing data collecting for my Nutritional Intervention Study. I am looking at the effects of Arachidonic Acid on Exercise Induced Muscle Damage in female athletes.

2025 was an amazing year with many milestones. I started working with Denmark 7s women and ended the year by giving a seminar to Denmark Women's XV. I achieved my AFHEA and supervised two MSc students through their Research Project, and started my final PhD. study (now halfway through data collection). I reffed at Woodys7s, meet some amazing fellow refs, and will be there again this year. Youngest & I saw the Red Roses lift the WRWC crown. The family visited Paris, and we achieved a lifelong dream of visiting Florida! 2025 was quite the year, and here's to 2026. , , ,
