O my brother! Take thou the step of the spirit, so that, swift as the twinkling of an eye, thou mayest flash through the wilds of remoteness and bereavement, attain the Ridván of everlasting reunion, and in one breath commune with the heavenly Spirits. For with human feet thou canst never hope to traverse these immeasurable distances, nor attain thy goal. Peace be upon him whom the light of truth guideth unto all truth, and who, in the name of God, standeth in the path of His Cause, upon the shore of true understanding.

An uplifting devotional at the BTC during the last Cluster Reflection Meeting.
O MAN OF TWO VISIONS! Close one eye and open the other. Close one to the world and all that is therein, and open the other to the hallowed beauty of the Beloved."

Strife and conflict befit the beasts of the wild. It was through the grace of God and with the aid of seemly words and praiseworthy deeds that the unsheathed swords of the Bábí community were returned to their scabbards. Indeed through the power of good words, the righteous have always succeeded in winning command over the meads of the hearts of men. Say, O ye loved ones! Do not forsake prudence. Incline your hearts to the counsels given by the Most Exalted Pen and beware lest your hands or tongues cause harm unto anyone among mankind.

Our July Prayers & Pancakes gathering was another beautiful reminder of the strength found in community. 🙏🥞
People of different ages, backgrounds, and nationalities came together to share, listen, and encourage one another. This month, we reflected on the theme of gratitude, what it means to be truly thankful, how we practice it in our daily lives, and how it can be difficult to hold onto during life’s challenges.
As we opened up about the struggles we’re each facing, we also discovered a shared hope: gratitude is finding moments of grace even in the middle of difficulties.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so meaningful. We look forward to growing, praying, and sharing together again next month.

On July 9, 1850, the Báb, the Herald of the Bahá’í Faith, was executed by a firing squad in Tabriz. In the mid-nineteenth century, He proclaimed that He had been entrusted with a divine message destined to renew humanity’s spiritual life. His mission was to prepare the way for the advent of a second Messenger of God, greater than Himself, who would inaugurate an age of peace, justice, and unity.

During the darkest days of His imprisonment, deprived of contact with His devoted followers, the Báb was denied even the comfort of a lamp by His captors. Today, however, hundreds of thousands of visitors each year come to behold the radiant Shrine that enshrines His earthly remains. Illuminated day and night, the Shrine of the Báb stands as a beacon of hope and devotion on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land, welcoming people from every corner of the world.

Open Wide the Doors is a memoir of extraordinary spiritual endurance by Mahvash Sabet, a devoted follower of the Bahá’í Faith who has endured long years of imprisonment in Iran because of her beliefs.
The narrative bears witness to the quiet radiance that can arise even in the darkest of conditions, where outward confinement cannot restrain the soul’s capacity for prayer, reflection, and hope. In the silence of her cell, the author discovers not only endurance, but also a deepening awareness of divine assistance and inner strength.

The United States is approaching the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—a moment of reflection, celebration, and for many, a moment of uncertainty. The country has seen generations labor to give fuller expression to the ideals named at its founding. Yet exhaustion, anger, and disillusionment amid polarization and conflict have become part of the atmosphere of public life. A letter from the American Bahá’í community points to a dimension less often examined. Some of the nation’s founding principles, including freedom, equality, and justice, it suggests, are not only civic aspirations. They are, in their essence, spiritual principles, whose fuller realization depends on the renewal of trust, love, moral courage, and a sense of shared purpose.

Across the world, there is a great deal of good will. Millions of people care deeply about poverty, inequality, conflict, environmental degradation, and the many challenges facing humanity. Governments launch initiatives, organizations raise awareness, and individuals dedicate their time and energy to worthy causes. Yet despite these sincere efforts, many social problems persist.
