Our hearts are so full after receiving the most thoughtful gifts from four amazing students at King Edward's College.

As part of a college project exploring the lives of children with additional needs, they successfully secured a grant to buy presents for the children at Inspire Coppice Lodge. But they didn't stop there. Wanting to do even more, they organised their own fundraising activities to raise additional money, allowing them to purchase even more gifts.

As we unpacked everything, it was impossible not to smile. Every single gift had been chosen with such care, reflecting each child's unique interests, hobbies and needs. From sensory toys and creative activities to practical items like backpacks that the children can use every day, every present tells a story of compassion and understanding.

Knowing that these young people have taken the time to think about children they've never met is incredibly moving. Their generosity will bring excitement, confidence and happiness to our children, creating memories they'll treasure for a long time to come.

To the four students from King Edward's College, thank you. Your kindness reminds us that there is so much good in the world, and you've shown that even the simplest gesture can make someone feel truly seen and valued. We know your gifts will mean far more than what's inside the wrapping.

Please join us in celebrating these wonderful young people and the difference they've made. 💙

Daisybrook is a charming and well established service that is home to 8 young people, male and female, with physical and/or learning disabilities and complex health conditions such as cerebral palsy, epilepsy and severe autism. Some of our children use wheelchairs and are non-verbal so we use alternative communication methods such as Makaton, Smartbox and other applications. This is something we are able to offer training for as part of a full 2 week paid induction and training programme.

Our focus is to provide the opportunity for each young person to experience stability, a sense of belonging and family, identity and self-worth - and we are looking for genuinely caring people to join our happy, friendly team.

What will you do?
• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support for our children
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, movie nights or getting involved with hobbies and creative projects
• Keep essential records and maintain accurate care plans
• Be an active listener ensuring each child is treated as an individual - we don't do a one size fits all approach

If you have worked with children before, or are working in another care sector with an interest in transferring, we would love to hear from you. Maybe you have supported a younger family member or you have completed recent studies aligned to supporting children, get in touch or follow the link below for more details and to apply directly.

At Inspire, we know that truly life-changing care starts with extraordinary people. 💙

These words, shared during a recent IRO care consultation about Coppice Birch, perfectly reflect the dedication, compassion, and professionalism our teams bring every single day:

⭐ “Coppice Birch, in my professional opinion, is one of the top homes I have the pleasure of working with.”

⭐ “The warmth, affection, and genuine care shown towards the young person by staff are clearly evident.”

⭐ “Staff respond sensitively to the individual nuances of the young person’s personality…”

⭐ “Staff engage openly and confidently, which reflects a culture of transparency, professionalism, and confidence in practice.”

This is what Inspire is all about: creating safe, nurturing homes where young people can thrive, feel valued, and build brighter futures.

If you want a career where you can make a genuine difference, be part of an incredible team, and help young people create positive memories and outcomes, we would love to hear from you.
