There’s nothing quite like music to bring people together. Today at Florence House, our home was filled with smiles, laughter, singing, and dancing as everyone joined in the fun. Bringing our best dance moves and singing along to some of our favourites, Penny arcade, Amarillo, Elvis Presley and many more! Moments like these create wonderful memories, lift spirits, and remind us that every day is worth celebrating. Thankyou for being with us today Rickie, we have thoroughly enjoyed your company and singing.

July has been a blast here at Florence House Care Home! 💙

From baking and creating delicious treats, celebrating the football, trips to the home shop, outings, music singalongs, celebrating Wimbledon, chair exercises, hoisting a cake sale and so much more. Everyday has been filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments.

Activities are so important for our residents wellbeing. They help keep minds active, encourage movement, build confidence, promote social connections, and most importantly, bring joy. Seeing our residents engage, reminisce, and make new memories together is what it’s all about.

Here’s to another month of fun, friendship, and creating special moments together! 🌼✨

📣 Date Change Announcement 🌴☀️

Due to requests from family and friends, we’ve decided to move our Beach Day to Saturday 15th August so that even more loved ones can come along and enjoy the day together.

We want as many families and friends as possible to share in the fun and make special memories with their loved one.

Thank you for your understanding, we can’t wait to welcome everyone for a fantastic day at the beach! 🏖️💙

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Bake Sale at Florence House Care Home! 🍰🧁

We are so grateful for all the delicious cake donations and the generous donations that helped make the day such a wonderful success.

A special thank you also goes to our amazing residents, who loved getting involved by helping with the bake sale and welcoming everyone. It was lovely to see everyone working together and enjoying the day.

Every penny raised will go directly towards activities and experiences for our residents, helping us create more special moments, fun events, and lasting memories.

Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, bought treats, and came along to support us. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated! 💙

❤️📚At Florence House we have been proud to work closely with students from the Co-op Academy📚❤️
Welcoming them into our home for their work experience placements. Supporting young people as they begin exploring careers in healthcare is something we are passionate about, as they represent the next generation of future workforce that will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
During their placement, the students had the opportunity to shadow our Activities Coordinator, gaining valuable insight into the planning and delivery of engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.🥰

Having the younger generation spend time in our home was a truly wonderful experience for our residents. Our residents loved sharing stories, laughter, and life experiences with the students, while the students gained valuable knowledge and perspectives that can only come from spending time with our residents. These intergenerational connections created meaningful moments that everyone will remember.❤️
