Some moments in care are incredibly difficult. Saying goodbye to a resident is never easy, and our thoughts are always with their loved ones during such a sad time.

While every loss is deeply felt, it is also a privilege to know that a family trusted us to care for and support their loved one through the final chapter of their journey. That trust is something we never take for granted.

The kind words and feedback we receive from families mean more than we can put into words. During the hardest times, they remind our team that the compassion, dignity, kindness, and support they provide every single day truly make a difference.

To our amazing staff, thank you for the care you give with your hearts. And to the families who place their trust in us, thank you. It is an honour to be part of your loved one’s journey. ❤️

Yesterday our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch out at The Redwood Brewers Fayre. 🍽️🥂

There was delicious food, a few sneaky drinks, plenty of laughter, and, most importantly, fantastic company. Days like these create special memories and remind us all how important it is to enjoy life together.

A huge thank you to our amazing team. Without your dedication, trips like this simply wouldn’t be possible. ❤️

Just because your loved one lives in a care home doesn’t mean they stay within its four walls. Social outings, community involvement, and meaningful activities are a vital part of wellbeing, helping our residents stay connected, active, and smiling.

On the last Friday of each month, we draw our superstar staff member.

All of the Farmhouse Team nominate 1 of their colleagues for this award, and today, the votes have been counted.

A massive WELL DONE to our healthcare assistant Melissa for winning this award for July.
Mel has worked for us since April this year and has already made a great impression on the team, the residents and our relatives / visitors.

It was a pleasure to receive the feedback from your team and why they have nominated you - you really are a credit to have working for us! CONGRATULATIONS SUPER STAR!!

🙏 A Little Plea for Some Community Kindness 🙏

We’re reaching out in the hope that someone may be able to help make our Summer Fun Day on Friday 15th August even more special.

We’re looking for a kind donation or loan of a bouncy castle for our event, even if it’s only for a couple of hours between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. Every little bit would make a huge difference and put smiles on so many faces.

Our event is raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer and our Residents’ Fund, helping us continue to create wonderful experiences for the people we support while supporting an amazing charity.

If you own a bouncy castle business, know someone who does, or would be willing to help, we’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️

Our lovely lady wanted some sparkle in her bedroom. She chose the border and the canvasses herself.

Today she has enjoyed some girly time with our activities coordinator, painting her room before applying the border......
What a difference + how beautiful it now looks!!

Our foyer has had a makeover!!! Watch the video for a virtual tour!!

For those of you who visit the home, you will notice this transformation when coming in through the front door.

This is just 1 room out of 3 that are undergoing a refurbishment (gardens and grounds are additional!)

Our Jennifer has worked her socks off to complete this in as shorter time frame as possible - and i'm sure you will all agree that it really has made a huge difference!! Thanks Jenny and thanks to everyone who has chipped in and helped out!
