The countdown is officially ON! 🙌 Our Summer Fun Day is now less than ONE WEEK away! 🥳

We’re so excited to welcome our wonderful residents, families, friends, staff and members of our local community for an afternoon full of fun, laughter and fundraising! 💙

🎟️ Raffle & tombola
🎈 Bouncy castle
🍔 BBQ & delicious treats
🍦 Ice cream
🎨 Face painting & fun activities
💦 Soak a Manager
…and lots, lots more! 😍

Most importantly, we’ll be coming together to raise as much as we can for our fantastic causes – Young Lives vs Cancer and our Residents’ Fund. ❤️

Every raffle ticket, cake, game, donation and bit of support makes a difference, so please come along, have some fun and help us make it a day to remember! 🥰

Just look at the smile on this wonderful lady’s face as she celebrated her birthday with us yesterday. 💜🎂

She was completely overwhelmed by all the love and kindness shown to her, and the happy tears said it all. Moments like these are what make our home so special.

A huge thank you to our amazing cook, Daria, for creating such a beautiful birthday cake, and to every member of our team who helped make her day so memorable.

💛 A Little Plea for Help 💛

Our Summer Fun Day is getting closer, and we’re asking if anyone is able to help by donating any tombola prizes or bric-a-brac items.

Every single donation, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. We’re raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer and The Farmhouse Residents’ Fund, so every prize helps us raise more money for two incredibly worthwhile causes.

If you have any unwanted gifts, unopened toiletries, chocolates, bottles, toys, homeware, ornaments, books, or any good-quality bric-a-brac that you no longer need, we’d be so grateful if you could donate them.

Please bring any donations into work and hand them to Siobhan, Liz, Jody or Jade.

Some moments in care are incredibly difficult. Saying goodbye to a resident is never easy, and our thoughts are always with their loved ones during such a sad time.

While every loss is deeply felt, it is also a privilege to know that a family trusted us to care for and support their loved one through the final chapter of their journey. That trust is something we never take for granted.

The kind words and feedback we receive from families mean more than we can put into words. During the hardest times, they remind our team that the compassion, dignity, kindness, and support they provide every single day truly make a difference.

To our amazing staff, thank you for the care you give with your hearts. And to the families who place their trust in us, thank you. It is an honour to be part of your loved one’s journey. ❤️

Yesterday our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch out at The Redwood Brewers Fayre. 🍽️🥂

There was delicious food, a few sneaky drinks, plenty of laughter, and, most importantly, fantastic company. Days like these create special memories and remind us all how important it is to enjoy life together.

A huge thank you to our amazing team. Without your dedication, trips like this simply wouldn’t be possible. ❤️

Just because your loved one lives in a care home doesn’t mean they stay within its four walls. Social outings, community involvement, and meaningful activities are a vital part of wellbeing, helping our residents stay connected, active, and smiling.

On the last Friday of each month, we draw our superstar staff member.

All of the Farmhouse Team nominate 1 of their colleagues for this award, and today, the votes have been counted.

A massive WELL DONE to our healthcare assistant Melissa for winning this award for July.
Mel has worked for us since April this year and has already made a great impression on the team, the residents and our relatives / visitors.

It was a pleasure to receive the feedback from your team and why they have nominated you - you really are a credit to have working for us! CONGRATULATIONS SUPER STAR!!

🙏 A Little Plea for Some Community Kindness 🙏

We’re reaching out in the hope that someone may be able to help make our Summer Fun Day on Friday 15th August even more special.

We’re looking for a kind donation or loan of a bouncy castle for our event, even if it’s only for a couple of hours between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. Every little bit would make a huge difference and put smiles on so many faces.

Our event is raising money for Young Lives vs Cancer and our Residents’ Fund, helping us continue to create wonderful experiences for the people we support while supporting an amazing charity.

If you own a bouncy castle business, know someone who does, or would be willing to help, we’d be incredibly grateful. ❤️
