I’m creating something I REALLY wish every woman had… 🤍

An online pregnancy & motherhood community supporting you from the moment you wee on that positive pregnancy test, through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and your baby’s first year.

A place for pregnancy support, birth education, expert advice, new mum support and, most importantly, finding women going through it alongside you.

But I want to build this with you.

If you could have one place to support you through pregnancy and motherhood, what would you want inside it? Tell me below 👇🏼🤍

Early labour started… then stopped? This can be completely normal. 🤍

Early or latent labour isn’t always a straight line. Contractions can come and go, sometimes stopping for hours before starting again.

Your body isn’t necessarily “going backwards.” During this time, contractions are helping your cervix soften, thin and begin to open, preparing your body for established labour.

Rest when you can, eat, hydrate and conserve that energy. Your body may be doing more than you realise. ✨

Why do we think giving birth on your back is “normal”? 👀

Because that’s what we’ve seen on TV our entire lives.

But think about it… would you poo lying flat on your back? 😂 Do animals naturally give birth on their backs?

Being upright, mobile and changing positions during labour can help you work with gravity and create space within your pelvis.

Does that mean you can’t birth on your back? Absolutely not. The point is knowing you have options.

Your mind does a lot of work during pregnancy.

One minute you’re excited, the next you’re worrying about labour, your baby, whether you’re prepared enough, or if you’re making the right decisions.

Writing those thoughts down can help you slow them down.

Journalling during pregnancy can help you:
🤍 Organise your thoughts instead of letting them spiral.
🤍 Notice patterns in your worries.
🤍 Process your emotions without judgement.
🤍 Build confidence as you prepare for birth.
🤍 Create a keepsake to look back on after your baby arrives.

✨ Top tip: Don’t worry about writing perfectly. Start with one simple question:
“What’s on my mind today?”

Sometimes that’s all it takes.

One woman spends months preparing for her baby.

The other spends months preparing for her birth & baby.

Guess which one is more likely to walk into labour feeling calm, informed and confident?

Birth isn’t something you simply hope goes well.

It’s something you can prepare for.

Because preparation doesn’t guarantee a perfect birth.

But it can completely change the way you experience it.

When we feel frightened, our instinct is often to hold our breath and tense our muscles.

During labour, that tension can make contractions feel harder to cope with, which is why understanding the fear–tension–pain cycle is such an important part of birth education.

Hypnobirthing isn’t about wishing the sensations away. It’s about understanding what’s happening in your body, learning effective breathing techniques for labour, and preparing your mind so you can approach birth feeling calmer, more informed and more confident.

Preparation changes everything. 🤍

Every stage of labour is different, and so is the way you support your body through it. 🤍

Knowing what to do during labour, whether that’s staying hydrated, eating, moving, resting or changing positions, can help you feel calmer, more prepared and more confident as birth unfolds.

Small things can make a big difference. ✨
