Taking time to create can be a simple but powerful way to reduce stress, switch off for a while, and focus on something just for you.

Take a look at out our Be Kind to Your Mind Craft Club. Created & run by a small team of our neonatal nurses and funded by our charity Tiny Lives Trust to give parents mindful activities during their NICU journey.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned crafter, there’s something for everyone. All of our crafts can be done at the bedside or taken home to complete in your own time.

✂️We currently offer:
• Learn to crochet 🧶
• Graduation cap keepsake 🎓
• Pom pom letter board 🅰️
• Personalised button picture 🖼️
• Pom pom cloud wall hanging ☁️
• Seasonal crafts 🎃
• Keepsake occasion crafts 💜

Just ask a member of staff for a craft pack… why not try them all?

A huge thank you for this beautiful cake celebrating Emani’s NICU graduation! 🎓💗
Emani was discharged earlier this week after spending 14 weeks with us on Ward 35. A lovely way to mark this incredible milestone, and the staff absolutely loved the cake.
Wishing Emani and her family a lifetime of happiness and good health! 💕✨

Happy International Nurses Day 🩵

“Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”
This is the theme for this year’s International Nurses Day…the day that marks the birth of Florence Nightingale, widely recognised as the pioneer of modern nursing 🏥

Here are some of our NICU nurses as children👉🏼
Swipe to see the little versions of our staff groups!!

Attention staff 📣
From the end of this week, a printed version will also be displayed in the staff room for a couple of weeks…join in the fun and take your guesses! There’ll be a prize for the winner 🎉

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic nursing team on Ward 35 for everything you do 🩵

Proud moment for our team 🩵
We recently celebrated achieving the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative accreditation for our Neonatal Unit & Transitional Care Ward 🎉

This accreditation recognises our commitment to providing the highest standard of care, supporting parents to build close and loving relationships with their babies, & ensuring families receive evidence based feeding support.

A huge thank you to every member of staff who made this possible & to the families who trust us with their care 💫
