Raw & Real.
Do you get a song stuck in your head ever?
Well today I woke up with Nutshell playing on repeat in my head, so I took the hint and put it on repeat.

When you get little sign's from your subconsience it's good to listen.

I ended up reading a little more about the song and Layne Staley, who was the lead singer of Alice in Chains.
It's pretty heartbreaking but a stark reminder of addiction, which took his fiancée first then himself.
He'd withdrawn from almost everyone, his fan's, his friends and family. Living in deep isolation and very frail. He died alone and wasn't discovered for weeks.
Addiction is more than substance abuse, it's loneliness, pain, and the quiet ways people can disappear long before they're gone.
It also made me reflect on myself.
Sometimes it's easy to think,
"I've got this now... one or two won't hurt."
But those old shadows are always there, waiting for an invitation.
Addiction is a battle worth fighting.

Who's ready for a little dance?
Let me know if you have any questions.
Love to see some regulars and always happy to see new faces.
If its sunny we always have the option of dancing in the lovely countryside garden or looking out at it if its raining.
We end the dance with a little sound bath and a herbal tea

My latest accessory...
Not a sparkling pair of earrings or a pair of high heels but a zebra pill box.
Who loves it?

A zebra is a symbol to represent those with my condition of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

"When you hear hoofbeats behind you, don't expect to see a zebra."

Coined by Dr. Theodore Woodward in the late 1940s, it was intended to teach doctors to look for the most common causes of symptoms before considering rare conditions. Most of the time, that's good medicine.

But sometimes... it really is a zebra.

For many people living with EDS and other rare conditions, the journey to diagnosis can take years if ever because our symptoms don't fit the usual pattern. Many of us are told it's stress, anxiety, or because it might not show up in tests there is nothing to diagnose, before the real cause is recognised. Alot of the time through our own research of if your lucky enough to find a professional that doesn't nessessary knows about the condtion but is willing to think outside of the box.

Every zebra has unique stripes, just as every person with EDS has their own unique combination of symptoms and experiences.

Sometimes, when you hear hoofbeats, it really is a zebra.
