This week, we proudly support Carers Week 2026, an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness of caring, recognising the incredible contribution unpaid carers make and highlighting the challenges they face every day.

This year's theme, "Building Carer Friendly Communities," focuses on creating environments where carers feel recognised, supported, and empowered.

Strong, inclusive communities can make a lasting difference to the wellbeing of carers and those they care for.

At Winnovation Training, we understand the vital role carers play across our communities. Through high-quality health and social care training, we are committed to helping build a skilled, compassionate workforce that values and supports carers at every stage of their journey.

Let's work together to ensure carers are seen, heard and supported... not just during Carers Week, but all year round.💙

Work Smart Live Well is getting out and about with a drop-in session in Blyth on Wednesday 17 June.

The team will be with the NCC Community Van from 11am to 3pm at Morrison's Car Park, Regent Street, Blyth (NE24 1ES).

Ever thought of pursuing a career in care work?

Care workers support vulnerable people with their daily activities and help them to live as independently as possible.

Your role as a care worker may include:
💟 Chat with clients and get to know their background, interests and needs
💟 Help with dressing and personal care
💟 Make food, assist with eating and make sure medication is taken if needed
💟 Do routine checks of weight, temperature and blood pressure
💟 Keep client records and care plans up to date
