Workplace first aid is changing.

The updated British Standard BS 8599-1:2019+A1:2026 introduces additional guidance around workplace first aid provision, including burns, eye wash and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

Existing Workplace, Lone Worker, Travel and Critical Injury First Aid Kit contents remain unchanged, but the updated standard places further emphasis on choosing appropriate first aid equipment based on workplace risk and employee numbers.

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be looking at what these updates mean in practice, from burns provision and emergency eyewash to AED's.

We really cannot shout loudly enough about the zPod 📣
