This ancient Chinese system of exercise strengthens your body, relaxes the mind and lifts the spirit. It is not competitive and everyone works at his or her own level and for your own benefit. It does not require special clothing or equipment; just loose, comfortable clothes and soft soled shoes. One of the great attractions is that it can be practised by people of all ages. It is absorbing, but n

ot exhausting or stressful. These Treasures Link the Mind and Body with the Universal Flow of Energy that is all around us. Once learned they are Treasures for a Lifetime.

Safeguard your knees in Tai Chi / Qigong

The direction of the knees is totally governed by the direction of your toes. Your toes determine the amount of movement and mobility in your hips, and your hips determine how effective is your Tai Chi.

If your toes are pointed in the wrong direction, then your feet are in the wrong place. This will put strain on your knees, forcing them to move and position incorrectly.

This video is my attempt to address this problem. Please comment below whether you have experienced similar issues. Please message me if you are interested in my in person classes.

Tai chi skill, possibly in golfing has everything to do with elbows

We are having a heat wave in England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง and I am loving it ๐Ÿ˜. While coaching my clients in the heat, everyone was getting overheated. I quickly changed up into a more meditative session. I asked them to imagine sitting on a mosaic step immersed completely in water with a mosaic bench in front, the water just slightly lingering on top.
I have made a video ๐Ÿ“น โ˜บ๏ธ trying to show you practicing the importance of elbows in relationship to your level of skill in Tai Chi. Either click on the link

Arms move without moving?

I have had the privilege to start a beginner Qigong/ Tai Chi Class at Nuffield in Gosforth Business centre. The other day, a lady in the class asked, " So, your arms don't move at all?" My reply, " Yes, you are right, they don't move independent from the rest of the body, except for dropping the elbows."
For any onlookers would think we are joking, because it looks like our arms are definitely moving around. I have made a video to show you how arms can "move without moving." Click the link or the photo to get you to the video.
