Sammy Bear Day Care Graduation 2026 🐻🎓

Today was filled with smiles, laughter, happy tears, and so many proud moments as we celebrated our wonderful Sammy Bear graduates💛

It feels like only yesterday these little ones walked through our doors, and now they are ready to spread their wings and begin an exciting new adventure at big school. Watching them grow in confidence, build friendships, learn new skills, and develop into kind, curious little people has been an absolute privilege.

To our incredible children—never stop believing in yourselves, keep asking questions, keep being kind, and always remember how truly special you are. We are so proud of each and every one of you, and although we’ll miss your smiling faces every day, we know you’re ready for this next chapter.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing parents and families for trusting Sammy Bear Day Care with your precious children. Thank you for your support, kindness, and for allowing us to be part of such an important stage in their lives. It has been an honour to watch them learn, grow, and flourish, and we are so grateful to have shared this journey with you.

🧸 We’re Hiring – Nursery Cleaner 🧹

Sammy Bear Day Care Nursery is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and trustworthy Cleaner to join our friendly team.

Hours:
📅 Monday to Friday
🕓 From 4:00pm (part-time, after nursery hours)

The role includes:
✨ Cleaning and sanitising nursery rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, and communal spaces.
✨ Ensuring the nursery is clean, safe, and ready for the next day’s activities.
✨ Following our cleaning schedules and hygiene procedures.

What we’re looking for:
✔️ Reliable and punctual
✔️ High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
✔️ Able to work independently
✔️ Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
✔️ An enhanced DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one)
✔️ Two satisfactory references will be required, and the successful applicant must have the right to work in the UK.

✨ About the Role
As part of our friendly team, you’ll help provide a safe, happy and nurturing environment for children from birth upwards, supporting their learning and development through the EYFS framework.

Your role will include:
🧸 Planning and delivering fun, engaging activities.
📚 Supporting each child’s individual learning and development.
🤝 Working independently and as part of a supportive team.
💛 Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
🏡 Helping maintain a high-quality nursery environment.
⭐ Assisting with the organisation of the nursery in line with Local Authority guidelines and nursery procedures.

✨ We’re looking for someone who has:
✔️ A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum).
✔️ Experience working in an Early Years setting.
✔️ A caring, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
✔️ Good knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding.
✔️ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

🕗 Hours:
Monday – Friday
8:00am – 5:00pm nursery opening + closing hours

Sammy Bear Day Care are looking for an experienced member of staff with a level 3 minimum Early Years Qualification; if this is you or anyone you know of who may be interested - look no further!

Your role would be to support the aims and objectives of the nursery and assist the manager in the organisation of a high quality establishment for children from birth upwards following the curriculum framework.

You must be capable of working on your own enhancing children’s individual learning and work as a team to provide brilliant daily practice.

You will assist with the planning and organisation of nursery in accordance with Local Authority guidelines and nursery procedures.

Hours between 8:00am and 5:00pm

Our little football fans have been getting into the World Cup spirit today with a special England-themed rice tuff tray! 🏆❤️🤍⚽️

The children loved exploring the different textures, scooping, pouring, filling and making marks in the rice while discovering the famous St George’s Cross. It was a fantastic sensory experience that encouraged curiosity, fine motor skills and lots of imaginative play.

We are loving celebrating the World Cup through fun, hands-on activities that support learning and development while creating wonderful memories.

Seaside Fun at Sammy Bear Day Care! 🏖️☀️

Yesterday our little explorers enjoyed a wonderful seaside-themed messy tuff tray to celebrate the beautiful sunny weather! 🌞

The children had great fun scooping, pouring and digging in the sand, building sandcastles, discovering seashells, and creating their own beach adventures with boats, sea creatures and treasure hidden amongst the rocks. 🚤🐢🦞🐚

As they played, the children were developing so many important skills:
✨ Fine motor skills through digging, filling buckets and moulding sand
✨ Imaginative play as they created their own seaside stories
✨ Communication and language by talking about what they could see and find
✨ Problem-solving while building and balancing their sandcastles
✨ Understanding the world by exploring different textures and learning about sea life

There were lots of smiles, laughter and teamwork as the children shared tools, compared their discoveries and worked together to create their very own beach scene. 💙

Nothing beats a day at the seaside… especially when we can bring the seaside to Sammy Bear Day Care! 🏖️🐠

We are delighted to welcome Sophie Dixon to the team at Sammy Bear Daycare as an Apprentice Early Years Level 3 Educator.

Sophie joined last month and has already achieved Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certification and Safeguarding Level 3 training.
We look forward to supporting her throughout her apprenticeship and watching her develop her skills and experience within our setting.
