Autistic Film Makers in action at Inspired Support.
From an idea… to their very own cartoon!

When creativity, teamwork and the right support come together, amazing things can happen!

Two of the people we support have a real passion for animation and cartoons. They teamed up, combining their interests and strengths to develop their very own comedy cartoon — featuring themselves as the main characters!

With support from their mentor, they worked together to:

- Develop and write their own comedy script
- Build teamwork and communication skills
- Develop characters and scenes
- Record their own voices and act out the characters
- Choose music to match the different scenes
- Use AI creatively to help bring their ideas to life
- Problem-solve, make decisions and keep developing their project

The result is a fantastic piece of work that they can genuinely say “we made this.”

What we love most is that this wasn’t just about making a cartoon. It was about building confidence, developing employability skills and discovering what they can achieve when learning is connected to their interests and passions.

For us, that’s what a motivational day service should be about.

Interests create motivation. Motivation creates opportunity. And opportunity creates skills.

We couldn’t be prouder of these two aspiring filmmakers!

WHAT IF YOUR EXPERIENCE AS AN AUTISTIC ADULT COULD BECOME A SCULPTURE?

Our Artists at Inspired Art & Design did exactly that.
- Big ideas. Creative thinking. Personal stories.
- One amazing sculpture bringing it all together.

This project challenged our customers to create something that reflected what Inspired Support means to them — using art, objects, memories and imagination.

Supported by professional artists who are also autism specialists, our customers explored ideas, developed their concepts and brought them to life.

And the result? Something completely unique — just like the people who created it.

At Inspired Art & Design, creativity isn’t just an activity. It’s a pathway to confidence, self-expression, developing skills and discovering potential in the creative industries.

We’re incredibly proud of what our customers created.

This is what happens when creativity is given the space to thrive.

BIG GOOD NEWS STORY - PART 1
For many autistic adults, big life decisions can feel impossible without real experience, that's why we created the Professional Artist in Residency programme.

Paul didn't just learn art - he lived the experience of becoming an artist, and now he's stepping in to the professional world.

This is what real opportunity should look like.

This isn't a story about an autistic person being given an opportunity to paint. It's a story about removing the barriers that prevent talented autistic adults from accessing university, professional careers, and a platform where their work can be seen by the world.

Over the last few years our Creative Area Lead and all round burger leading light, Sandy Duff, has been taking the guys he supports, on a journey in to the joys of burgers on the Newcastle scene. As a judge at battle of the burger - Sandy knows his onions. Meat:Stack have only gone and sent over a burger poster for the creative walls - The Bigg Kahuna - now that is a tasty burger.

⚽🏆 That's a wrap on The Inspired World Cup! 🏆⚽

The final whistle has blown, and while England's tournament has come to an end, we're incredibly proud of everything our team at Inspired Support has achieved.

Over the course of the tournament, our autistic creators didn't just predict the matches—they produced an entire football media series.

🎮 Played and predicted every England match on FIFA
🎥 Filmed the gameplay and behind-the-scenes footage
🎬 Edited every video
🎨 Created the graphics and animated intros
🎙 Recorded the commentary and voiceovers
⚽ Produced post-match review shows after every game

Every part of this project was created by the talented autistic adults we support, showcasing creativity, teamwork, digital media skills and a shared passion for football.

To round off the tournament, Dan gives his own post-match interview—reflecting on England's campaign and celebrating what has been an incredible Inspired World Cup project. We couldn't think of a better way to end the series!

A huge thank you to everyone who watched, liked, commented, shared and supported us throughout the tournament. Your encouragement meant so much to our team.

This may be the final whistle for the Inspired World Cup... but it's certainly not the end of the amazing projects our talented creators have planned.

Tonight, England take on Argentina, and, our Inspired gaming professionals have already played the game.
