📢 Free Chest X-Ray Scheme (No Doctor Appointment Needed) 🩻

Are you aged 40 or over and experiencing any of these problems for more than 3 weeks? Our GP practice is part of a special new pilot scheme, meaning our patients can get a free chest X-ray directly without booking a GP appointment first.
🌸A gentle reminder before sharing: This pathway is for patients registered at our GP practice. Most other local surgeries are not involved yet, so there is a chance friends or family will be turned away if their practice is not part of this pilot scheme. Check which surgery they use first to avoid disappointment !

🚨 DON'T MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT! 🚨
Please write down your appointment details as soon as you book. While our automated text and email reminders are helpful, technology can occasionally fail. Relying solely on them means you might miss your slot.🗓️

Two Quick Steps to Stay On Track:
Grab a pen: Write the date and time, on a calendar, diary or on your mobile.
Set an alarm: Put a manual reminder in your phone right away.
Every missed appointment stops another patient in need from seeing a doctor. Help us by keeping track of your booking!

If you live in England, you can use Right to Choose to get an assessment through an independent provider. unsure on how to get started?
Research providers: Look up independent, NHS-approved clinics to compare their current waiting times.
Download a letter: Most provider websites offer a pre-made referral letter template for your doctor.
Book a GP appointment: Give our friendly reception team a call to make that appointment. We can also send you a link with the providers should you need.
Learn how the process works at NHS Right to Choose Guide.

Check the Red Book: Review your child's health record or the NHS app to see if they are up to date. Call your GP: If you or your children have missed any routine appointments, contact your surgery to arrange a quick catch-up . Let’s work together to keep everyone healthy!👉 Learn more about the current schedules on the NHS Vaccinations Page.
