Clear cot, clear mind 🧘

To reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), keep your baby’s cot clear of any items that could cover your baby's face and head. Such as bumpers, toys, duvets, pillows and loose bedding.

Babies need just two items in their cot:

- A firm, flat, waterproof mattress.

- Lightweight bedding.

🤱Healthworks also run peer breastfeeding support sessions.

🤱If you live in Newcastle, when you have your baby with us, we'll ask you if you want them to get in touch with you when you get home, to offer that support, one-to-one, or in a group.

🤰🏾Got an antenatal appointment coming up?

🤰🏼While you're in the hospital, drop in to our pregnancy vaccination hub.

🤰🏼The vaccination hub runs Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 7.30pm. On Fridays, it is open from 8.30am to 4pm.

🤰🏼You can call ahead on 0191 282 9939, or just pop in.

👶🏻It is closed on bank holidays.

🤰🏽If you have missed any of your three pregnancy vaccinations, you can use the drop-in service at the RVI, or ask your midwife about vaccinations when you see her.

👶🏾All the vaccines are free, and all the vaccines are safe for you and your baby.
