Today marked our first Annual Team Sunflower Competition! 🌻
Mr John Holliday kindly accepted the prestigious role of Judge and came round to choose our winner and runner ups. John looked after the planters in front of our health centre for many years making it a cheerful and welcoming place for patients and staff alike and we are very grateful to him for this.
In first place, Mr Paul Gill🥇. Mr Alastair Lang🥈 was a close second followed by Mrs Angela Lockerby🥉 in third place.
We must admit there wasn't an open flower head to be seen amongst the entries(!) We are open to top tips for our efforts next year!!!

We are changing our clinical computer system in October. To ensure you can continue to access online services, including ordering repeat prescriptions, we need to confirm that the email address we hold for you is correct.

If you use patient access you will shortly receive a text message asking you to login to Engage consult (our text messaging service) where you will need to enter your date of birth to access the message and respond.

Urgent same-day appointment requests

We would be grateful if patients who feel they need an urgent same-day appointment or advice could please
contact the surgery before 10.00am wherever possible.

We receive a high number of requests for urgent appointments and clinical advice each day. When these requests
come in later in the day, they can be much more difficult to manage, as appointment availability and clinical capacity
may already be very limited.

All urgent requests will be assessed by our clinical team and triaged according to need. Calling before 10.00am does
not guarantee that you will be seen the same day, but it does give us the best chance of assessing your request and
arranging the most appropriate care or advice.

Also please note that emails are monitored, but we cannot guarantee that email requests will be seen or processed on the same day. For this reason, appointment requests and urgent clinical queries should not be sent by email.

We really appreciate your understanding and support in helping the practice manage urgent care safely and efficiently.

Please note that we are closed today (Thursday 25th June) between 11am and 3pm for staff training. Those patients who have appointments with the nurse for bloods please ring the bell at Reception.

For all other issues including collecting prescriptions and non urgent queries please come before 11am or after 3pm.

If you have an emergency please rind the bell outside and someone will attend to you or alternatively call us on 013873 75100 and follow the instructions.

We seem to be missing a number of the Home BP Monitors that we loan out to patients. Can we please ask that anyone who has been given one to check and ensure that they have returned it. (They should be kept for one week only)
