Good as Gold is staffed in accordance with government standards. In the Baby Room we have provision for 12 babies (0-2) with a staffing ratio of 1:3. In the Toddler Suite we can cater for up to 37 children with a staffing ratio of 1:4 for 2 year olds, and 1:8 for 3 and 4 year olds. The Officer-in-Charge holds a BA(Hons) Degree in Early Years, and has also achieved Early Years Teacher Status. All K

ey Persons have attained level 3 qualifications in childcare, and all staff also hold First Aid qualifications and receive training in safeguarding children.

Our Good as Gold family continues to grow. As we say goodbye to our preschool children, all ready to start at school, we prepare to welcome all our new babies and nursery children who will be starting their learning journey's this week. We hope you all settle in well and make lots of new friends!

Today we said goodbye to our very last children who are leaving us to start at school next week. We will miss them all and wish them lots of luck, love and happiness for the future. Look out for a special video coming soon on Facebook celebrating their achievements.
On behalf of my preschool team I would like to say thank you for all the lovely cards, flowers, gifts and chocolates we have received. We are truly very grateful. Thank you also for all the Alphablocks gifts. These will have a massive impact on our teaching of letters and sounds for children for years to come.

What's in the box?
Pulling items from a box teaches babies object permanence and improves fine motor skills by practicing grip and holding objects. It helps to expand early vocabulary by encouraging babies to name hidden objects. It also allows babies to explore cause and effect. Lifting a lid, pulling something out or tilting the box changes what happens.
Our babies have loved exploring Ruby's activity tray this week and particularly enjoyed when it was them in the box!

After four years of attending nursery almost every day, today it was time to say goodbye to three of our little ladies. To make the day extra special we took the girls on a trip to The Circle Bacup and shared a pizza to celebrate their achievements. It is impossible to spend such long lengths of time with children and not develop attachments. We have watched and encouraged them to achieve every milestone in their lives so far. To say we will miss them is an understatement, and it was hard saying goodbye, but they are all brimming with confidence and more than ready for school! Good Luck girls on the next stage of your learning adventure!
