Last week at Kingfisher House Care Home , we were joined by the wonderful Dave Parry for an afternoon of live music 🎶

Iris and Gerald were more than happy to sing along to some of their favourite Elvis and Tom Jones songs, while Jean, Valerie and Margaret enjoyed the atmosphere and all the music around them.

It was a lovely afternoon of familiar favourites, singing along and enjoying the music together💜

We had a lovely pamper morning at Kingfisher House for National Relaxation Day! 💅💜

Opal and Abbie treated some of our ladies to a little bit of nail pampering, with Iris, Sandra, Anne and Margaret enjoying having their nails painted and getting themselves ready for the weekend. Margaret also had her hair done, making it a proper morning of treats!

It was lovely seeing everyone enjoying a little time for themselves and showing off their freshly painted nails 😊

We had a fantastic visit from Visosport this morning, bringing along a great selection of ball and bean bag games for our residents to enjoy 💜

Harry and Gerald had fun bouncing the balls into the right holes to complete the puzzle, while Valerie impressed us all by balancing a very tall stack of bean bags on her hands! Brian enjoyed getting involved too, putting his hand eye coordination to the test 👏

There was plenty of concentration, laughter and friendly competition along the way. A brilliant morning of games and getting everyone involved 😊

Friday afternoon was a lovely one at Kingfisher House Care Home as we celebrated Hazel’s 84th birthday in the garden 🎂☀️💜

Hazel was joined by her family for an afternoon of birthday celebrations, with wine, beer, tea and coffee on hand, but most importantly, plenty of birthday cake! Jean and Valerie enjoyed a slice too, while Gerald and Sandra settled in with their cake and their sombrero hats, which certainly added to the fun 🎉

It was a lovely way to celebrate Hazel’s special day, surrounded by family, friends and good company. Happy 84th birthday, Hazel! 💜

Happy National Beer Day 🍻

Last Friday morning looked a little different for us, as we swapped our usual routine for a game of beer pong in the lounge. Our residents gathered round, ready for a friendly bit of competition, with plenty of cheering from the sidelines 💜

Albert and Gerald took turns aiming for the cups, keeping everyone entertained, while Mary and Melvin gave it their best shots too. There was lots of laughter, a bit of friendly rivalry, and plenty of encouragement all around.

Safe to say it was a morning full of fun and something a little bit different 😊

Another gorgeous afternoon spent in the garden, this time enjoying a spot of flower arranging together 💐

Melvin and Barbara both shared how much they’ve always loved gardening, with Barbara joined by her son which made it all the more special. There were plenty of chats, a few memories shared, and lots of careful arranging along the way 💜

Hazel created a beautiful yellow bouquet, now proudly displayed in her bedroom. It’s little moments like this that make our weekly flower arranging such a favourite 😊

There was double the reason to celebrate at Kingfisher House Care Home as we marked both Satch's 82nd birthday and our wonderful kitchen team member Jo's birthday too! 🎉💜

Our wonderful residents gathered together for music, a delicious birthday cake made by our kitchen team, and plenty of tea, coffee, and happy chatter. Ann, Mary, and Bill even got into the party spirit by wearing some fun birthday glasses, which certainly brought a few extra smiles!

Happy Birthday, Satch and Jo. We hope you both had a fantastic day celebrating with everyone 🎂🥳

Recently, our lovely residents at Kingfisher House Care Home enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of live music with Dave Parry 💜🎶

From Elvis and The Beatles to ABBA, there were plenty of familiar favourites to sing along to. Jean and Valerie loved sitting together singing every word, while Sandra and Gerald couldn't resist having a little dance. It was also lovely to welcome Janet and her daughter, along with members of Ann's family, who joined us for the entertainment 😊

It was a fantastic afternoon filled with music, great company and plenty of happy memories.

July saw us celebrating a few of our favourite dates in the calendar, alongside all the everyday moments that make each month special 💜

We marked World Chocolate Day with a few well deserved treats, celebrated National Ice Cream Day with everyone's favourite flavours, and during , we took the opportunity to recognise our wonderful teams who make such a difference every day 🍦🍫

Alongside the celebrations, there were all the little moments that make each month what it is, catching up with friends, enjoying favourite activities and making the most of the summer days.
