I’m here for the women who are tired of "white-knuckling" their way through the day—juggling the mental load, navigating transitions, and living entirely in their heads. At Phoenix Rose Wellbeing, I provide a

down-to-earth sanctuary designed for you to drop the masks and find your fire again. My approach is a unique, multi-faceted bridge between Practical Coaching and Soulful Expression. I believe that true change happens when we involve the whole self. That’s why I blend the stillness of Mindfulness and Reiki with the creative spark of Craft and the liberating power of Dance. We don’t just talk about change; we move through it. We glide through three powerful stages:

• ✨ RESET: We quiet the noise, soothe your nervous system, and find your Navy foundations through Reiki and Mindfulness.

• 🌿 RECLAIM: We get you out of your head and back into your body. Through Movement and Dance, we reclaim your "Allure" and reconnect with the joy of being alive.

• 🔥 RISE: Through Empowering Coaching, you find the Gold—stepping back into the world with unapologetic clarity, purpose, and a stride that is entirely your own. No fluff and no judgment. Whether you're here for a 6-week transformative course, a dance-infused workshop, or a deep Reiki reset, you’ll find a space that is as vibrant as it is grounded.

📍 Proudly serving the Risca community and beyond.

🌿 Ready to find your stride? I’m a big believer in the power of a good connection. Drop me a message and let’s have a natter over a cuppa to see how we can get you dancing to your own rhythm again.

Day 2 of 25: My Diagnosis Journey 🧠💔
For a long time, I lived in total limbo. I was here, but not quite here.

Jumping out of an airplane and doing the dishes triggered the exact same emotional response in me: nothing. Total numbness.

And then came the flood. The hypervigilance, the gaps in my memory—years completely obliterated—until suddenly they weren’t. When those memories returned, they flooded my system in full technicolor surround sound.

Suddenly, I went from numb to crying at Gladiators and Scrapheap Challenge. I honestly thought I was broken and completely unable to handle life.

When I finally received my diagnosis, it brought a heavy mix of relief and grief:

✨ Relief: That I wasn’t crazy, that there was a name for what was happening, and that there was a pathway to heal.
🕊️ Grief: For what should have been, for the time lost, and for how long I had blamed myself.

A diagnosis isn’t a label to hide behind—it’s a map that shows us where to start. 🗺️

Day 1 of 25 🛑💪

Six years ago, I was nominated to complete 25 push-ups for 25 days to raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety, and depression.

This year, I’m stepping up to the challenge again—right here on my page.

Mental health awareness is so deeply needed to strip away the stigma, shame, and silence. But over the next 25 days, I want to take it a step further than just push-ups. I’m going to be opening up and sharing:

🧠 My personal story and lived experience with PTSD
🌿 Somatic exercises & breathwork you can use to calm a dysregulated nervous system
✨ Holistic practices & daily techniques for managing anxiety, symptoms, and mind-body overwhelm
📍 Signposting & resources for extra support when you need it

The Reel vs. The Reality: Lessons from Pen-y-Fan 🏔️✨

If you look at my latest reel, you’d see smiles, a stunning summit, and a total "can-do" attitude. The actual reality? Tears, a lot of stops, a few strops, and a lot of sweating.

This was my fourth time up Pen-y-Fan, and no other mountain exposes the weak spots in my mindset quite like this one. Honestly, it just feels rude! 😅

When we tackle hard things, they push us—and sometimes, we push back. For me, the uphill struggle triggered a massive mental spiral of guilt: “I’m too slow. I’m holding my love back. He’d be better off without me.” Before I knew it, that thread snowballed into old, nasty self-talk.

Logically, I know none of it is true. I am loved, I am fabulous, and while I might be a slow-coach going uphill, my love chose to stay by my side. Plus, without me, there’d be no random trail songs, whimsy, or fabulousness! 🎶✨

Intercepting the Spiral 🛑

When I posted last week about Reiki and the "Just for Today" principles, this is exactly what I meant. Being present acts as a fantastic circuit-breaker for those mental spirals.

It’s not about suppressing the thoughts. It’s about recognizing them and saying: "I see you. Thank you for highlighting the areas that still need some love... now, with love and light, kindly fff off!" 👋❤️

The Summit & The Lessons

Against my own doubts, I made it to the top—and once the endorphins kicked in, we even conquered Corn Ddu on the way back! I’m walking away with a few lessons:

Check the physical: Feeling dizzy isn't ideal, so it’s time to look at my blood pressure. 🩺
Rewire the mental: Old thought patterns need facing, releasing, and replacing. 🧠
Adjust the socks: Wonky socks are gonna be wonky. Stopping to adjust them without guilt is necessary. 🧦

Pen-y-Fan, I will be back. And my next goal? Making it to the top without the tears! 🥾⛰️

How do you interrupt your own negative thought spirals when things get tough? Let me know 👇

8 years ago today, I became a Reiki Master Teacher.

If you told me back then what the next eight years would look like, I wouldn't have believed you.

My journey with Reiki hasn’t been a straight line. The person who initiated me is no longer in my life; our path ended in a painful parting of ways that left me hurting and, for a long time, doubting my own gifts. I lived in a shadow of second-guessing myself, wondering if I was really "good enough" to channel this energy, even while my clients were thriving.

But people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. And “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.”I am incredibly grateful for the friendship and deep teachings I received in that season. It was the catalyst for everything.

Relocating gave me a completely blank slate. In this new space, my confidence finally found its feet.

Today, Reiki isn't just a treatment I offer—it’s the heartbeat of how I live. The simple principle of "Just for today" guides my life. I self-Reiki daily and infuse that healing energy into everything I touch—whether I am leading a movement session, crafting with felt, or holding space for clients.

Over the years, the teacher role has evolved too. I’ve had the privilege of training three wonderful women into the Reiki way. Our lives have naturally moved in different directions since then—as paths often do—but I am so grateful to have been their bridge for that specific season.

Standing here 8 years later, the doubt is gone. I know my power, I trust the energy, and I am ready for the next chapter.

Going forward, I am opening up more space for 1:1 healing sessions based in my treatment room at The Sycamore Centre and preparing to step back into teaching, helping others learn how to access this beautiful, grounding energy for themselves.

To everyone who has trusted me to walk beside them on their healing path: thank you. 🤍

How are you feeling today? Honestly? Full of beans or a lil snail like? 🥱🐌

If you woke up feeling heavy, slow, or stuck in that familiar rut where even the smallest tasks feel like climbing a mountain... you are not the only one.
When your energy is running on empty, the worst thing you can do is try to force your way through it.

Tonight at UNBOUND, we are doing the exact opposite. We are honoring exactly where our bodies are today. No performing, no trying hard, and absolutely no judgment.

Instead, we’re going to use a few simple, physical tricks to shift that heavy, stuck feeling without draining the battery you have left.

We’re getting out of our heads and into our bodies with:
🧼 A physical wipe-down to literally brush off the heavy mental fog and workplace stress.
🐙 A few silly, playful movements to get us laughing (because honestly, a proper giggle is the quickest way to break out of a slump).
🤝 Lean-on-me teamwork—practicing what it feels like to actually share the load and let the group support you.

You don't need to turn up full of beans. You don’t need to be in a good mood. Come exactly as sluggish, tired, or overwhelmed as you feel. We're going to shake it out together and make sure you walk out the door feeling lighter, genuinely refreshed, and ready for a deep, proper rest.

Can I share something vulnerable? 🫣

This is the reality of living with ADHD.

Today, it took me four and a half hours to clear my coffee table...and that doesn’t even include the two hours I spent just staring at it, feeling thoroughly disgusted with myself, while simultaneously being completely unable to make my body move and do anything about it.

ADHD paralysis is so real, and the mental weight of it is exhausting.
But this is exactly why I am so deeply passionate about the power of the small. It’s why I teach the quick, bite-sized somatic and mindfulness techniques that help us navigate the day-to-day.

It’s also why I’m grateful on the power of "phoning a friend."

Today, I am incredibly grateful for a friend who acted as my virtual body double. They kept me on task, didn't judge, and celebrated with a "well done" when it was finally finished. They simply asked me: "What is just ONE thing you can do?" Because let's be honest, most of the time, simply getting started is the biggest mountain to climb.

When I can get myself vertical, I have a few go-to techniques that help me ride the wave:
🚫 Don’t sit down if there is a task to do (once I sit, the freeze sets in!).
🎶 Timed playlists to race against the clock.
⚔️ Side quests—like emptying the laundry basket only while the kettle is actively boiling.

But some days, those only work if you're already up. Sometimes, you just need a little company to help you take that very first step.

So, for tonight? I’m saying, Some is better than none.! The coffee table is clear, the shame has lifted, and my mind is a little bit calmer.

If you're stuck in the freeze today, this is your gentle reminder: you are not lazy, you are not disgusting, and you don’t have to do it all at once. Take one tiny step, or send this to a friend who can be your body double today. ❤️

👇 Do you get stuck in the "staring phase" too? What’s your favorite hack for breaking the freeze? Let me know in the comments.

🥞 "A bit flat..." Have you heard about a pancake day?

You know the ones. It’s all good but a bit flat. Where your energy is at an absolute zero, and getting even the basic, everyday tasks done feels like wading through thick treacle. It’s harder than it ought to be. You look in the cupboards for dinner and see nothing but raw ingredients. No matter what you do, another tiny obstacle pops up.

Yesterday was exactly that kind of day for me.

Everything that needed doing was going slightly wrong. So, rather than forcing it (or succumbing to a total afternoon of couch-rotting!), I made a conscious decision to take a step back. I chose to do something different—something with purpose, but with zero pressure attached.

A gentle, real-life application of "Just for today." 🧵✨

I leaned into a little craft moment. I cut out some felt, sketched a design, and just focused on stitching beads.

And the magic happened. By the time I put the needle down:

👉 My mind was infinitely calmer.
💡 My brain was actually buzzing with fresh, creative ideas (which I quickly wrote down!).
🍲 And those frustrating "raw ingredients" in the cupboard suddenly became a delicious, slow dinner.

This morning, my physical energy is still a bit low, but my mind is crystal clear. The lists are written, and the tasks that felt entirely impossible yesterday now have a timeline I can easily manage. I went from "everything-all-at-once" overwhelm, back to a calm certainty that it will all get done in time.

Busy hands truly do create a calm mind. 🧠❤️

🔮 KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED! I’m going to be sharing a closer look at the actual piece I crafted yesterday, because it's inspired a brand-new workshop I’m opening up very soon. If your nervous system needs a creative, mindful place to land and reset, you are going to love this. Watch this space!

✨ Just for Today: Part 2 ✨

On Sunday, I introduced you to my favorite three words: Just for today. These words form the foundation of the 5 Reiki Precepts—the core principles of Reiki practice. But here is the secret: you don't have to be Reiki trained or attuned to use them. They are simply a beautiful, gentle guide for getting through the difficult days. Here they are:

🌸 Just for today, I will not worry.
🌸 Just for today, I will not anger.
🌸 Just for today, I will be grateful.
🌸 Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
🌸 Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

Read them again. Pretty powerful, and incredibly simple, right?

When life feels heavy, we don't have to promise a whole week, a month, or a year of perfection. We can make the choice to take life day by day, hour by hour, or even minute by minute.

Whether it's Mindful Hands, 60-Minute Reset, or Unbound, every single space I hold is built on this exact mindset: to step out of the chaos, land in the present moment, and live it.

Just for today, I will... Of course, we all know that being mindful, finding clarity, and staying present takes practice and discipline. That’s why having a physical, supportive community to practice with makes all the difference.
So, let's start small together right now.

👇 Complete the sentence in the comments below: "Just for today, I will..." (Even if it’s just: "Just for today, I will drink my tea while it’s actually hot!") 👇
