Well, we didn’t expect that! All the team at T J Davies and Sons would like to thank you all for recognising, as we did, what a heartwarming and beautiful moment in time it was to have Mr Bo Diddley with us for his owners service.

We’d just like to say, as so many people have asked, rest assured Mr Bo Diddley is being loved and cherished by the gentleman’s family and is doing very well. He even popped in to see our Funeral Director Nic this week to thank her for taking such good care of him.

Today we said goodbye to a gentleman whose last wish was for “Man’s best friend” in this case Bo Diddley, to es**rt him on his final journey. Not only did Bo Diddley page their owner to the crematorium, they also travelled in the hearse with him. A touching moment that Nic and the team were honoured to be a part of. His family have kindly granted us permission to share such a meaningful moment with you all.

Essential road treatment works in Caerleon will require both road and lane closures over the coming days.
Catsash Road is closed today, between 7am and 7pm, for a first surface treatment.
Road markings will be absent and speed limits will be implemented before a further full road closure on Thursday and Friday, again from 7am to 7pm, for a second surface treatment.
Surface treatment on Caerleon Road, on the approach to Caerleon (up to the bridge), will require temporary traffic lights and lane closures on Sunday 9 August and Wednesday 12 August between 7am and 7pm.Reduced speed limits will be in place,
Parking will not be allowed along any of the affected routes and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to use diversions where appropriate.
We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused while this work is carried out.

Yesterday our Funeral Conductor Nic had the absolute privilege of es**rting a gentleman on his final journey to the crematorium.

His family felt it fitting that Nic rode with him, rather than page in front of the motorcycle hearse. We all found this quite moving and with kind permission from his family we’d like to share that special moment with you all too.
