😑 Anger is a normal emotion – learning how to manage it is a skill.

One of the best ways to help children cope with anger is to spot the warning signs early. Talk with your child about what happens in their body when they start to feel angry.

They might notice:
❀️ Their heart beating faster
πŸ’ͺ Tight or tense muscles
😬 Clenched teeth or jaw
πŸ‘Š Fists tightening
😀 Faster breathing
πŸ”₯ Feeling hot or flushed

When they spot these signs, encourage them to:
βœ… Take slow, deep breaths
βœ… Count to 10 before reacting
βœ… Move to a calm, quiet space
βœ… Talk about how they're feeling
βœ… Squeeze a stress ball, draw, or do another calming activity
βœ… Go for a walk or burn off energy through physical activity
πŸ’™ Remind your child that it's okay to feel angry. What's important is learning healthy ways to express and manage those feelings.

Looking for an NHS dentist?
The Dental Access Portal allows people to register their details so they can be matched with an NHS dental practice when appointments become available. NHS dental practices are no longer holding their own waiting lists for new routine patients, so it is important that anyone looking for routine NHS dental treatment registers on the portal.

People can register online here: https://dhcw.nhs.wales/product-directory/our-digital-services/dental-access-portal/

Support is available for anyone who needs help completing their registration by calling 01495 241234.

Access an NHS dentist in Wales for routine dental treatment for yourself or for someone in your care.

We are currently experiencing issues with a clinical system due to a server issue affecting many sites across Wales. This may mean we will not be able to access patient records to deal with enquiries from patients. Our clinicians are working hard to continue with our afternoon clinics but this is challenging. We thank you for your patience
