Our Annual SUPERCOVEN Sisterhood Gathering is a meeting of ALL our coven groups.

A chance to gather and meet with all the different Coven ladies from all the groups. Also a chance to come along if you have been thinking of joining a Coven.

A celebration of our sisterhood and us as women.

This annual gathering is held at the Deer Park in Newport.

Usual coven fee of £25.
Arrival from 6.30pm as there is an opportunity to promote your business or side hustle.
Slightly later finish time of 10pm.

A LAMMAS BLESSING & SPELL FOR YOU 💚

Lammas is an ancient festival celebrated on August 1st that marks the first grain harvest and the halfway point between summer and autumn. Also known as Loaf Mass Day or Lughnasadh, it traditionally involves baking bread from the new crop to give thanks for the earth's food and abundance.

As well as baking bread a beautiful way to honour this celebration is with a letter of gratitude or thanks burnt in the Lammas fire. 🔥

Here is a simple ritual you can use for your Lammas celebrations this weekend….

Lammas blessing…
Light either a fire or a candle and say the blessing out loud…
“Heart to Heart and Hand to Hand, We give thanks for Light and Land
Lammas Blessings fill this space, abundance, magic, joy and grace.”

Now take a piece of paper and Write down all you are grateful for and all the blessings you already have in your life.
Then write down all the new things you would like to call into your life. Don’t play small with this.. Take your time to feel into what you want and write it all down. Be specific and make sure you are writing them in the present tense… I have, I am, etc.

You can now burn your letter in your fire or from the flame of your candle saying the spell aloud..

By the Power of Hope and Earth, I now give thanks for all I’ve birthed
Gratitude at Harvest Time, As I call for what is mine
As I ask it flows to me, So I may live abundantly
My letter bares the Witches Seal, As it burns now make it real.

Our annual ALL COVENS meet up where all the wonderful ladies from all the covens join together!!!

If you are a member of a coven group this will replace our usual monthly meetings for August.

We meet at Chetwynd Deer Park, Newport, on Friday 14th August and the shannigsns and magic start at 6.30pm.

Keening, from the Irish "caoineadh," was a full-body wail let out over the dead. Women gathered around the coffin, pounded on it, chanted the person's name, and let sound carry what words couldn't. It could go on for days, and it was sometimes led by a professional keener.

This wasn't a performance. It was an ancient way to move through grief, built on the idea that pain had to be let loose through sound and motion instead of trapped in the body.

The Catholic Church started speaking against it as early as 1614. Priests called it pagan and uncivilized, a threat to the natural order. By 1748, keening in public could get you excommunicated.

By the mid-1900s the tradition was basically gone.

What went with it was a space where people were allowed to fall apart and weren't alone doing it. We mourn now in silence, in small sobs, on a schedule that fits around a Monday morning, and then we wonder why grief feels impossible to move through.

We didn't evolve past needing this. We just stopped doing it.
