Stress is one of the most common reasons people seek reflexology. Ongoing stress can affect sleep, concentration, digestion and muscle tension, over all general wellbeing.

A reflexology session provides a dedicated time to switch off mentally and physically. This deep relaxation can help break the cycle of stress and improve overall resilience to daily pressures.

Reflexology helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for rest and relaxation.

There can be a term called healing crisis after any type of holistic treatment. The “healing crisis” in zone therapy refers to a set of temporary symptoms, such as mild fatigue, headache, or increased urination, that may occur following treatment.

These responses are considered to be the body’s natural process of adjusting and rebalancing after massage stimulation. They are thought to be associated with physiological adjustments and the body’s process of eliminating metabolic waste, sometimes referred to as detox symptoms.

For those of you that prefer to escape the home and enjoy your treatment in complete peace away from distraction, I can offer you the opportunity to book your time with me at The Wellness Barn on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Gatcombe, away from busy high streets, is a gorgeous place I have been fortunate enough to use for the past few years.

There is parking and easy to maneuver around treatment rooms, with comfortable couches that are height adjustable. The space is clean, beautifully decorated and very relaxing.

Thank you so much for attending the Circle of Light evenings last week.

It was such an honour to share space with you all and hear your stories, hear you open up and share your life with us.
It's good to watch you and help in the creative part of the evenings too.

We made wind chimes to put up in our homes. Wind chimes modulate "qi" (energy flow), breaking up stagnant areas and attracting prosperity or protection depending on where they are hung. Using a combination of shells these represent lightness, joy, and fluid adaptation to change.

I have space for October's Circle ( 🥹😜 can you believe it will be October?! )

Yesterday marked 10 years in business as The Beauty Angel. 🥳🎉🙌🏻

I sat with much reflection this weekend on those 10 years. What I have achieved and what I would still like to achieve and I gave myself a head wobble!

I always have it in my head I could have done more or should have been here or there by now when in reality running a business is a REMARKABLE achievement! Especially during these last 10 years.

Marital breakdown, divorce, single mum, surviving financially, mentally, emotionally and physically during the first 6 months of starting a business added another layer of stress I hadn't anticipated.
It possibly set me in good stead for the next 10 years, global pandemic, lockdowns, navigating homeschooling during the GCSE year, starting again in love and relationships, moving house, death within my partner's family, my Dad having and surviving cardiac arrest, gaining 5 cats, the rollercoaster of life.

However 10 years of The Beauty Angel has brought me ....

💆🏻 Clients galore - clients I've had with me for years and I gain new each month, I have clients that regularly continue to come back to me when they are back on the Island from London, Wales, Kent and even Australia!

🎡 Festivals and Bestival, working together with local dance groups to master their makeup in the most eclectic environments!

👰🏻 Weddings, weddings and weddings! At one wedding I was the last to leave the family home after finishing touches to the bride's makeup, I waved her off and locked up for them.

🏬 4 years of supplying wellbeing Angelic Reiki Sessions in the corporate world. A truly wonderful time where I met
so many people from all walks of life.

🧾 Countless courses and qualifications meeting people that have become dear friends.

📰 Supplying monthly beauty and wellbeing write ups for local magazines for a year was something I really enjoyed doing!

🎈 So many pamper parties for children, teenagers and adults have always been a delight to be included in.

🎁 Branching out into the gift and crystal bracelet making world has been so much fun. My monthly bracelets are completely unique and handmade by myself.
