This is probably one of the most important health habits I have, and it's not a supplement or a workout. It's the food shop.

The choices we make before we even step into the kitchen often shape the meals we eat for the rest of the week.

In truth, knowing what fuels my body effectively means that I ignore 90% of what is in the supermarket. My shopping consists of meat, fish, eggs, Greek yogurt and cheese and green veg. That’s it. That is what my body is ancestrally designed to eat to be at it’s optimum.

One meal won't transform your health, just as one meal won't ruin it. It's the small, consistent choices we make week after week that have the greatest impact.

That's why I believe understanding your body is far more powerful than following another meal plan. When you truly understand, you are empowered to make better choices for yourself without being spoon fed.

Before changing what you eat, ask yourself why you're making those changes. Food influences far more than weight. Understanding your body is the first step.

One of the biggest myths in women's health is that healthy eating is simply about eating less.

While creating an energy deficit can be part of weight management, it's only one piece of a much bigger picture. Food influences how we feel, how we think, how we recover and how our bodies function every day.

When we stop seeing food as something to fear and start understanding how it supports our bodies, we make better decisions with confidence rather than guilt.

This was my lunch today.

It's not a 'perfect' meal, it’s leftovers. It's simply a meal that fits into a busy working day and helps keep my energy steady.

One of the biggest misconceptions I come across is that healthy eating is all about eating less meat. The quality and balance of what we eat has a huge impact on how we feel throughout the day.

I don't build meals around restriction, even though it can look like this to an outsider, I’m building them around nourishment. I want food to support my energy, help me stay focused and provide the building blocks my body needs. And what everybody needs is protein. Lots of it. 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight from meat, eggs, fish or tofu. There are no other substitutes. This is how we were designed to function ancestrally.

Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated or Instagram-worthy. It just needs to fuel you so that the food noise goes away.

What did you have for lunch today?

One of the biggest myths in women's health is that weight loss is simply about eating less. Our bodies are influenced by far more than calories alone. Muscle, hormones, stress, sleep, blood sugar and nutrition all play a role. Understanding how your body works is the first step towards making informed choices rather than feeling frustrated.

This week has reminded me why I started sharing my story in the first place.

Reading your comments has been incredibly moving.

So many of you have described feeling dismissed.

Confused.

Overwhelmed.

Or simply unsure where to begin.

If there's one thing I hope you take away from everything I share, it's this...

You don't have to understand everything today.

You don't need to completely change your life overnight.

You don't need another list of twenty supplements or a perfect diet.

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough is simply understanding why your body is responding the way it is.

That's exactly why I created the 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲.

Not because it has all the answers.

But because I believe every woman deserves a clear, evidence-informed place to start.

If you've already joined us, I'd love to know what you've found most helpful so far.

And if you haven't started yet, there's still plenty of time.

I'd love to welcome you.

I've spent years thinking about how women really become empowered.

It's probably not what most people think.

Yes, we can get advice from practitioners.

Books.

Influencers.

Podcasts.

Instagram.

But real understanding usually comes from slowing down.

Reading.

Reflecting.

Understanding.

Joining the dots.

That's why I've always loved writing.

It allows me to explain things that simply don't fit into a 60-second video.

One of the biggest lessons my own health journey taught me is that women don't need more information.

We need better explanations.

We need somewhere we can ask questions without feeling embarrassed.

Somewhere we can learn at our own pace.

That's exactly why I've decided to start writing here on Substack.

I've created a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 because I wanted women to have one calm place to begin instead of trying to piece everything together from hundreds of different sources.

If you've been following along over the past week, I'd love you to come and join me.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?
