C O M P A S S I O N…
Someone recently asked me why I do this work and why I seem to care so deeply.
It took me a while to answer.
The truth is, my qualifications taught me the techniques, but life taught me compassion.
I’ve lived through trauma, grief, heartbreak, anxiety, depression, and times when I didn’t feel safe in my own body. I’ve also stood beside people I love as they’ve faced their own trauma, mental and emotional struggles, often feeling helpless and wishing I could take some of that pain away.
Those experiences have shaped me in ways no course ever could.
They’ve taught me that healing isn’t about “fixing” people. It’s about helping someone feel seen, heard and safe enough to begin finding their way back to themselves.
That’s why I do what I do.
I don’t believe our struggles define us, but I do believe they can deepen our understanding of others. If my own journey allows me to sit with someone else’s pain without judgement, to offer hope when they can’t yet see it themselves, then every chapter has had a purpose.
If you’re carrying more than anyone realises, I hope you know you don’t have to carry it alone.
