The death has occurred of:
Patricia Trainor (née Gribben)

Trainor (Banbridge) September 2nd, 2026. Peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital, Patricia (née Gribben), dearly beloved mother of Martin, Eamon and Gary, much loved granny of Caiden, Shannon, Chloe, Cody, great-grandmother of Sienna, mother-in-law of Maria and Karen and sister of Annie and predeceased by her granddaughter Baby Leah and her brothers Peter, PJ, Oweny and John, Orchard Lodge, Armagh and formerly Edenderry Park.

May she Rest In Peace.

Patricia’s remains will repose at her son Martin’s residence, 3 Brook Grove, Banbridge on Saturday and Sunday from 4pm - 9pm. Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Dromore Street on Monday for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. House strictly private on Monday morning.

Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister, nephews, nieces and the entire family circle.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Adrian McAnarney (RIP)

The family of the late Adrian McAnarney wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during our recent bereavement.

We are truly grateful to all our family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues who offered their kindness, comfort, prayers and support during such a difficult time. Our sincere thanks to everyone who called to our home, attended the funeral, sent cards,
flowers, messages and expressions of sympathy. Every gesture of kindness meant so much to us.

A special and heartfelt thankyou to Patricia and the team at Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for their compassion and kindness throughout the funeral arrangements. Patricia’s unwavering support during this difficult time brought us great comfort and we are truly grateful for the kindness she has shown to our family.

We would like to thank the Mountain Rescue Team, Air Ambulance crew, North Wales Police and the hikers who came to Adrians aid. We will always be grateful for the courage, dedication and compassion shown in their efforts to help him.

Our sincere thanks to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for bringing Adrian home to us and for all the kindness and support we received from them.

Thanks to Fr Magennis, Paula Burns and to Brian Nugent for preparing the grave. Our thanks also to Angela Winters, Maria Quinn and The Phillips Sisters for their beautiful singing and music at the funeral Mass.

Thank you also to Diamonds for the lovely food after the funeral and to everyone who sent food to the house during the wake. We are also very grateful to the Hilltown Branch of INF for providing us with chairs and their help during the wake.

Finally a special word of thanks to all who made donations to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. Thank you for honouring Adrian’s memory and helping to support such a wonderful cause.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.

In Loving Memory of Phillip, A dear husband, Father, brother, brother in law, nephew, grandson and son, whose first anniversary occurs on 7th September, 2026.

One year ago our whole world was undone, Losing a husband, a father, a son. Though your physical journey was brief in span, we honour the remarkable life of a man.

The world keeps turning, but time stood still. An ache in our hearts that time cannot fill.

Rest softly in peace, our love and our guide, we walk through each day with you by our side.

Lovingly remembered and sadly missed every day by your loving wife Joanne, sons Jack & Ben and the entire family circle.

We, the family of the late Colleen Shields, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following Colleen’s passing. A dearly loved wife, mother and Nanny.

A special word of thanks to Canon Kearney for his pastoral care, kindness and support to our family in the days before and after Colleen’s funeral, and for the beautiful and intimate funeral service. We would also like to thank Oonagh McAteer for the beautiful singing, which added so much to the ceremony.

Our sincere thanks to Patricia, Connor and all the staff at Heaney Keenan Funeral Undertakers for the dignity, care and professionalism shown to Colleen and to our family throughout.

We would also like to thank Central Florist for the beautiful floral tributes, which were a fitting and beautiful reflection of the love for Colleen.

Our heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Daisy Hill Hospital and Ann’s Home Care Team for the care, kindness and compassion shown to Colleen throughout her time there. We would also like to thank the doctors and staff at Clanrye Surgery for their care and support to Colleen and our family.

Our sincere thanks to ROC Food and to Ballyholland Harps Club for the use of their facilities.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who called to the house, brought food, sent messages, offered prayers, and attended Colleen’s wake and funeral. A special word of thanks to the kind and thoughtful people who so generously left food at the house during those difficult days — your kindness and support were greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. A heartfelt thank you to all who travelled near and far to be with us and pay their respects to Colleen. Your presence and support meant so much to our family during this very difficult time.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Kathleen McPolin (RIP)

We, the family of the late Kathleen McPolin, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us during our recent bereavement.
We are truly grateful to our family, friends, neighbours and whole community.

We would like to thank the staff in 1West, Craigavon Area Hospital, Doctors Megaw and Irwin and the staff of Rathfriland Health Centre. Sincere thanks to Paul O’Hare and staff in Mayobridge Pharmacy and the outstanding Banbridge District Nursing Team.

Towards the end of Kate’s life some people became very significant to her and us: Dympna, Briege Rooney and Reablement Team, Donna Morrow, Bardan Cottage, Newcastle, Home Instead, especially Frances, and we are incredibly indebted to the remarkable care, kindness and friendship provided by Dorothy and Steady from Everycare Solutions.

We would like to pay special thanks to Father Magennis, Deacon Michael Rooney and Paula Burns.

To the Phillips sisters and Caitríona McAtarsney for the beautiful singing and music at the Funeral Mass.

Thank you also to Gilberry Fayre for the food after the Funeral and Brendan McKay for sending food to the house.

Adrian’s remains will leave his late residence, 46 Castlevennon Road, Katesbridge on Monday at 11.15am to arrive at All Saints Church, Ballela for 12noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House strictly private.

Adrian McAnarney

McAnarney (Katesbridge) August 2nd, 2026. Tragically as a result of an accident in Wales, Adrian, devoted husband of Monica, cherished father of Jack and Charlie, loving brother of Sean, Brian, Eamon, Cathal and Jacqueline McClorey and son of the late John and Margaret.

May he Rest In Peace.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Pat McAteer (RIP)

Pat’s wife Joan, his sons, daughters, grandchildren, and his sister Mary, would like to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. Thank you to our many friends, family and colleagues who attended the wake and funeral. Our special thanks to the members of Ballyholland Irish National Foresters who formed the guard of honour on the funeral route and supported us diligently. We appreciate the foresters who travelled from Belfast, Lurgan, Newry, Hilltown, Killeavy, Rostrevor, and Cookstown to be with us. To our friends and family from Dublin, Navan, Slane, Derry, Louth, Australia, Daventry, and Rugby your presence meant so much to us.

We would like to thank the medical and palliative teams from Daisy Hill Hospital and especially the wonderful staff at Evora Hospice, for the care, attention and the respect shown to Pat and to us his family, where medical and spiritual needs were attended to with so much compassion.

A special word of thanks to Canon Brown, Fr Anthony Moffet, Fr Carlos, and to the bereavement team, Patricia McMahon and Paddy O Hanlon of Newry Cathedral parish, and Rev Matthew, Rev Derick, and Sr Fiona of Evora Hospice, for their prayers and support at the hospice, the house, and the celebration of the requiem Mass. To Sadie, Shauneen and Sean for the beautiful music and singing.

Thank you to those who called to the house, left Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, and contributed to our Evora collection. Thanks to the Mourne Country Hotel, Chunky Sandwiches, Courtneys Restaurant, Leaf and Bean, Boulevard Catering, Macs Pizzas, Timoney’s Ice Cream, and all our family and friends who kept us fed over the weekend.

We will ever be grateful to Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for the efficient and dignified manner they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Pat’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 9th August at 10.30am in St Marys Chapel Street.

Pat will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife and family.
