Funeral notice for the late James Byrne - R.I.P.

Byrne, James – R.I.P. Late of Nottingham and formerly of Carn Road, Meigh, Killeavy. 13th July 2026, peacefully at Leawood Manor, Nottingham. Beloved husband of the late Doris, loving father of Colleen, Josie, Mary and Lesley, grandad to Annemarie, Daniel, Liam, James, Alex, Alistair, James and Christian, great-grandad to Aurelia and dear brother of Kevin, Brendan, Kitty, Rosaleen, Mary and the late Thomas, Michael, Eddie, Barney and Bridie.

Requiem Mass for James will be celebrated on Tuesday (4th August) at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Very deeply regretted by his entire family circle in Nottingham and at home.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Mrs Theresa Magee (nee O’Hare) - Rest In Peace.

We, the family of the late Theresa Magee, wish to thank all those who sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.

Many thanks to those who offered their condolences and paid respect to Theresa. We are grateful to all who came to the funeral mass and burial.

We thank Fr Patrick for his visit to Theresa on the morning of her passing and the prayers at the Dominican chapel. We are grateful to him for his respectful Funeral Mass in The Dominican Chapel.
We also take time to thank Holly McKay for the beautiful singing and music; it was truly comforting. We also thank those who prepared Theresa’s resting place at Monkshill Cemetery.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to McGennity, Funeral Directors, especially Jacqueline for the professional, dignified and caring manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

We are especially grateful to all the staff at Daisy Hill Hospital, Craigavon Area Hospital, Ivybrook and Cornmarket Surgery for all their care and attention to Theresa.
Thank you to all the staff at Enable and Ann's Home Care for the care and kindness you showed Theresa.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deep appreciation for the kindness and support received.

We, the family of the late Maureen Doran, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness and support shown to us on the recent loss of our beloved mummy, granny and sister.

We are deeply grateful to our family, friends and neighbours for their help and support during this very difficult time.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, called to the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and messages of condolence.

We thank the staff at Daisy Hill and Craigavon hospitals who cared for mum.

Thank you to Fr. Carlos and to Fr. Patrick for their spiritual guidance and support and a special thank you to Gareth and Emma for the beautiful music at the mass.

Thank you to Ballyholland Harps GAC and Boyd’s Catering for the lovely food.

Murphy (née Crossey), Margaret – R.I.P. Late of 7 Thomas Street, Newry. 27th July 2026, peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Peter, loving mother of the late Seamus and Gareth, devoted granny of Nicole, Ronan and Eimear, great-granny to Conall, a dear mother-in-law to Jacqueline and Tracy; predeceased by her brother Seamus and sister-in-law Margaret.

Margaret’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ on Wednesday evening (29th July) from 6-9pm and on Thursday (30th July) from 2-4pm and from 6-9pm. Requiem Mass on Friday (31st July) at 12 noon in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, Newry. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Campbell (née McKee), Mairéad - R.I.P. 31 Dublin Road, Newry, 26th July 2026, peacefully at Avila Nursing Home, Bessbrook, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Anthony P. Campbell, loving mother of Christopher, Gregory, Patrick, Maylis, Sarah, Anthony and Eleanor and a devoted grandmother, predeceased by her brothers Francis and Paul.

Mairéad’s remains will repose at her late residence on Monday and Tuesday evenings (27th and 28th July) from 6.00pm until 9.30pm each evening. Parking is available in the car park of the Church of the Assumption, Drumalane.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday (29th July) at 12.30pm in St. Catherine's Church, Dominic Street, Newry. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery. House strictly private on Wednesday morning please.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

We, the family of the late Seamus, wish to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness and support shown to us during our recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful for our family, friends and neighbours who attended the wake and funeral, called to the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and messages of condolence.

A special word of thanks to Father Liam for celebrating the Requiem Mass and to Drumalane Chapel sacristans for all their help. Thank you to Mary McCabe for the beautiful singing at the Mass.

We are especially grateful to all the staff at Daisy Hill and C.A.H. for all their care and attention to Seamus. Thank you to all the staff at Enable and Ann’s carers for the care and kindness you showed Seamus.

We also wish to thank the Flagstaff Lodge for the meal following the funeral.

Beloved wife of Peter, loving mother of Orlagh, Ciaran, Clare, Peadar and Brendan, devoted nanny to Alayna and Chloe, Liam, Amy and Ryan, Luke, Erin and Eoin, Kaylee, Jake, Ella and Mya; predeceased by her parents Hugh John and Bridie Fearon, her brother Fr. Gerard Fearon and her sisters Briege and Rosaleen.

Patricia’s remains will repose at her late residence this evening (Thursday 23rd July) from 7pm until 9pm and tomorrow (Friday 24th July) from 11am until 9pm. Removal on Saturday (25th July) at 12.30pm arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm in St Catherine’s Dominican church, Newry. Burial afterwards in Cloughoge cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral please.

Martin’s remains will repose at his late residence from 7pm this evening (Wednesday 22nd July) until removal on Friday morning (24th July) at 11.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
