MACKIN - James

The family of the late James Mackin wish to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement.
They especially wish to thank the kind relatives, friends and neighbours who helped them during this difficult time.

They are sincerely grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral. Your presence, thoughtful gestures, generous charitable donations, words of comfort and the many fond memories shared about James were greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Byrne and Canon Kearney for visiting James both at home and in the hospital and for the lovely celebration of his Requiem Mass. A special thanks to Aoife and Peter for the beautiful music and singing.

They would also like to extend their gratitude to the medical staff in the Haematology Ward at Craigavon Area Hospital for the kindness and dedicated care James received during his stay there.
To Dr. Magaw, Dr. Irwin and the district nurses who cared for James so diligently during his final weeks at home. Thanks also to the Manderville Unit and the Cancer Centre, Belfast who also cared for James during his illness.

Thank you to Hugh Murray and the staff from the Diamonds for the lovely food served following the Funeral Mass. Thanks also to Cabra Community Association for use of the hall.

A final word of thanks to Peter McGinn Funeral Directors for the caring and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our profound gratitude.

While the pain of losing James remains, we take great comfort in the memories we have shared with him and in knowing how many lives he touched.

James’ Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Cabra on Friday 21st August 2026 at 7.30pm.

John Henry and the family of the late Mary Catherine Fegan would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement.
They especially wish to thank the kind relatives, friends and neighbours who helped them during this difficult time.

Thanks to those who messaged, sent cards, flowers or donations and to everyone who attended the wake and funeral.

A special thanks to Canon Brown and Fr Byrne for their pastoral care and celebration of the Requiem Mass. Thanks also to Eileen and Bernice for the beautiful music and to Des the Sacristan.

We also thank Peter McGinn & Sons for their support and for conducting the funeral arrangements in such a dignified manner.

Thanks to the Diamonds restaurant for providing refreshments after the funeral and to the INF for the use of their facilities.

A special word of gratitude to the staff at Rathfriland Health Centre, the carers of the Southern Trust, Roisin and Siobhan for their outstanding care and compassion shown to Mary Catherine over the years.
Also to the doctors and nurses of Craigavon Area Hospital who cared for Mary Catherine so diligently in her final days.

WILSON - John

We the family of the late John Wilson, wish to express our most sincere thanks to everyone who supported us during our most difficult time, the loss of our Daddy, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Father in law, brother, uncle, cousin, neighbour and friend.

To those who attended our home, those who donated, those who sent Mass cards and kind messages, those who came to the funeral Mass or watched online and those who thought of us during the difficult time, we thank you.

We would like to thank those who cared for Daddy both at home, and in Daisy hill hospital for their kindness and compassion.

We would like to thank Fr Charlie for his visits to Daddy, for his final blessing and for celebrating his beautiful funeral Mass assisted by Des.

We wish to thank Matt McGinn for his incredible music, and to Matthew McGinn jnr for his beautiful whistle piece.

A special word of appreciation for the attendance and Guard of honour from the Clonduff and Dromore Lourdes committees, people he valued so dearly in his 30 years working in Lourdes, for accompanying Daddy both in and out of the chapel. The vision of you all will never be forgotten.

To Hugh Murray and the staff of Diamonds restaurant for providing the refreshments after the funeral Mass, and to Marian and the staff of the INF for the use of their premises.

The death has occurred of James Mackin

MACKIN (Cabra) 18th July 2026, James. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Much Loved husband of Susan, devoted father of Jordan and Laura, cherished brother of Dermot, Eleanor, Kay, Angela, Donal, Damian and the late Roma and Leonard. Loving son of the late John and Maggie.

James’s remains will repose at his late home, 8 St John’s Terrace, Cabra on today (Sunday) from 12.00noon until 10.00pm, tomorrow (Monday) from 12.00noon until 10.00pm. Removal on Tuesday at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cabra. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House Private on Tuesday morning please.

Deeply missed by his sorrowing wife, son, daughter, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and the entire family circle.

McKAY - Aine

We, the family of the late Aine McKay (née Small), wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours who offered their sympathy, kindness and support during our recent bereavement. We are deeply grateful to everyone who called to the house, attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and messages of condolence, and supported us in so many thoughtful ways.

A special word of thanks to the medical and nursing staff of Daisy Hill Hospital, the Hospital at Home team, and the wonderful domiciliary carers whose kindness, compassion and dedicated care meant so much to Aine and to our family.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Charlie for his pastoral care, for celebrating Aine's Requiem Mass and for his thoughtful homily, which so beautifully reflected her life. We also extend our sincere thanks to Des and Marian for their assistance throughout the funeral liturgy.

We are especially grateful to Eileen, Bernice and the traditional musicians who enhanced the Requiem Mass and burial with their beautiful and uplifting music.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Colm and all the staff at Peter McGinn Funeral Directors for their compassion, professionalism and unwavering support. Their guidance, dignity and attention to every detail brought great comfort to our family throughout the funeral arrangements.

We also wish to thank the INF, Hilltown, and The Diamonds Restaurant, Warrenpoint, for providing the lovely refreshments after the funeral and for the warm welcome and hospitality shown to our family and friends.

Beloved daughter of the late John and Mena, loving sister of John Henry and cousin and friend to many.

Mary Catherine’s remains will repose at her late home, 11 St Patrick’s Park, Hilltown on today (Wednesday) from 6.00pm until 10.00pm, tomorrow (Thursday) from 1.00pm until 10.00pm. Removal on Friday at 2.15pm for 3.00pm Requiem Mass in the Church of St John the Evangelist, Ballymaghery, Hilltown. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

O’HAGAN - Kathleen

We, the family of the late Kathleen O’Hagan, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us during the recent loss of our much loved mummy, sister, granny, great-granny, aunt and friend.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who sympathized with us during our recent sad bereavement. We extend our thanks to those that called to the house, sent gifts, sympathy and mass cards.

We would like to sincerely thank Father Charlie for the regular visits, mummy’s final blessing, your guidance and care, and for the lovely mass assisted with Canon Francis Brown, thank you to you both.
