Today was a truly special day at the Ulster Tatler Influential Women Awards, held in the beautiful surroundings of the Ulster Reform Club in Belfast.

I was incredibly honoured to be nominated in the Contribution to Beauty category and to be recognised alongside such an inspiring group of women. Being in a room filled with so many talented, driven and accomplished women was a reminder of just how much can be achieved when women support, encourage and champion one another.

Recognition is important, but what matters most is the impact we make, the people we help, and the communities we build. Days like today celebrate all of that.

A huge congratulations to , who was the winner of the Contribution to Beauty award. The dedication, passion and hard work that goes into building a career and business in our industry should always be celebrated.

I left today feeling grateful, for the nomination, for the conversations, for the friendships, and for the opportunity to be surrounded by women who continue to raise the bar and inspire others to do the same.

Thank you to for shining a light on so many incredible women. Here’s to continuing to lift each other up, celebrate each other’s successes, and create even more opportunities for the women who come after us.

Everyone is talking about the weight loss.

Very few people are talking about the skin.

At the recent conference I attended, researchers presented emerging evidence exploring how GLP-1 receptor agonists may influence inflammation, fibroblasts, oxidative stress and dermal white adipose tissue (dWAT), all important players in skin quality and ageing.

This doesn’t mean GLP-1 medications are “bad” for your skin.

Far from it.

It means that as more patients successfully transform their health with these medications, we need to become better at supporting skin health alongside metabolic health.

The future isn’t weight loss or skin health.

It’s both.
