Pain reducing doesn’t always mean the injury has recovered.

Rest may help settle your pain, but it doesn’t necessarily restore the strength, mobility or function needed to return to sport or the gym. That’s where rehabilitation comes in.

âś… Keep moving where appropriate.
✅ Progressive rehabilitation helps restore function—not just reduce pain (Littlewood et al., 2022; NICE, 2022).
✅ Quality beats quantity—4 targeted exercises performed consistently are often more effective than 14 you’ll never complete.

Every injury is different, so rehabilitation should always be tailored to the individual.

If you’re struggling with an injury, get in touch and let’s get you back to doing what you love.

Since I am researching this condition for my dissertation, I wanted to share a few more facts that I found especially interesting.

Endometriosis affects about 1 in 10 women of reproductive age and usually takes around 4 years to diagnose. During this period, many women are unsure if symptoms like hip, lower back, groin, or leg pain are caused by muscle or bone issues or by a gynaecological condition.

This shows why it is important to listen to women with these symptoms and make sure they get the right support, advice, and referrals when needed. Studies have found that endometriosis can affect physical function, pain levels, sleep, and mental health, so its impact goes well beyond just pelvic pain.

Research also shows that more than half of women with endometriosis report leg pain. Other studies have found that women with this condition have higher rates of anxiety, depression, and a lower quality of life compared to those without it.
