The British Heart Foundation is now accepting applications for its Community Defibrillator Funding Programme.

On average, 27 out of hospital cardiac arrests occur in Northern Ireland each week, with fewer than one in ten people surviving. Every minute without CPR or defibrillation can reduce a person’s chance of survival by around 10%.

Applications are welcomed from:

• Community groups
• Sports and social clubs
• Places of worship
• Community centres
• Local social enterprises
• Parish councils
• Other local organisations

Areas with the greatest need will be prioritised, but the programme is open to eligible groups across Northern Ireland.
