Blossom Yoga

Blossom Yoga Unhurried yoga, meditation and hands-on therapies in mid-Norfolk. Small classes paced for real bodies — beginners genuinely welcomed. Since 2014.

Based at The Painted Barn, Barnham Broom, with weekly classes in Norwich & village halls across the area. 🌿 Welcome to Blossom Yoga
I’m Ania: an experienced yoga teacher with over 20 years of personal practice and training rooted in classical Hatha yoga, meditation, and mindful awareness. I offer welcoming yoga classes across Norfolk, including Barnham Broom, Cringleford, Sprowston, Honingham, Gar

vestone, and at The Painted Barn, as well as online sessions, workshops, retreats, and one-to-one support. My classes combine mindful movement, breath awareness, relaxation, and meditation to help build strength, flexibility, balance, and inner calm. The practice is slow and grounding, yet deeply energising: supporting both body and mind in a meaningful and sustainable way. Alongside weekly yoga classes, I also offer meditation workshops, women’s circles, day retreats, and holistic treatments including Craniosacral Therapy, Clinical Massage, and Lomi Lomi Massage. Whether you join a class, retreat, workshop, or one-to-one session, my intention is to create a warm and supportive space where you can reconnect with yourself, restore balance, and blossom into greater wellbeing. 🌸

We have been quietly building something called The Root: a private members' space where the notes from your classes, workshops and retreats are gathered in one place and kept for you.

It opens to members soon. If you have practised with us recently, your notes will be waiting. Join the newsletter and we will let you know the moment it does.

The Root is Blossom Yoga's private members' space: the notes from your classes, workshops and retreats, gathered in one place and kept for you. What it is, how it came about, and what is coming.

Two months from now we’ll be gathering again at beautiful West Lexham for a day of yoga, meditation, nature, delicious food and wonderful company.

If you’ve been feeling that you’d love a day away from the busyness of everyday life, this might be just what you’re looking for.

Our Rooted & Radiant retreat on Saturday 26 September is now almost full, with just 3 spaces remaining.

Together we’ll enjoy an inspiring day of yoga, meditation, meaningful conversation, time in nature and space to reconnect with what truly matters. My hope is that you’ll leave feeling lighter, uplifted, inspired and with a renewed sense of clarity as we step into autumn.

If it feels like the right time to do something just for yourself, I’d love for you to join us.

Twelve of us at Saturday's meditation workshop: talasana and the body's energy field, maha yoga pranayama with retention for the first time, and a Tibetan technique called Capturing the Uncaught Mind. We also talked about tapas, the discipline that keeps a practice alive.

Next one is Saturday 15 August, 1:30pm, £10.

Talasana and the body's energy field, maha yoga pranayama with full and void retention, and a Tibetan technique for witnessing rather than concentrating. Notes from July's monthly meditation workshop at The Painted Barn.

Yesterday's retreat at West Lexham was one of those rare days that reminds you exactly why you do this.

Grapevines trailing across the orangery roof, sunlight through the glass, a morning of Hatha yoga and pranayama, an organic lunch from the West Lexham kitchen, an afternoon exploring sound and the chakras — and a closing circle full of genuine honesty and warmth.

We've written it up on the blog. Full notes, for anyone who was there and wants to relive it, or anyone curious about what a day like this actually looks like.

The next retreat day is Saturday 26 September — registration is open and places are filling quickly.

Notes from our June retreat day at West Lexham Estate — grapevines, natural swimming, live music meditation, and what happens when you build a whole day around the chakras.

Warm days call for Sitali Pranayama — the cooling breath from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.

You can feel the difference within a few rounds: inhale slowly through a curled tongue, and the air arrives noticeably cool. It calms excess heat in the body and mind: useful after practice, on a warm afternoon, or when everything feels a bit much.

But there's more to it than the mechanics. Sitali is connected to Svadhisthana, the water chakra, which means it isn't a neutral trick: it can stir emotional material if the ground isn't steady. One of many reasons pranayama belongs after asana, never before it.

New on the blog: the technique, the subtler background, and why it's worth learning with a teacher rather than from a video.

Less than two weeks to go until our Summer Day Retreat at West Lexham, and I’m busy with the final preparations.

This retreat filled incredibly quickly and, with a growing waiting list, I’ve decided to organise another special day retreat at West Lexham at the end of the summer.

☀️ Save the date: Saturday 26th September ☀️

That’s all I’m revealing for now…

There will be yoga, meditation, relaxation, delicious food, beautiful surroundings and time to reconnect with yourself in the most beautiful setting of West Lexham.

More details will be coming soon, but if you missed out on the June retreat, you might want to keep this date free in your diary.
