Flowers bring so much joy!

This week, we had the lovely George visit us at Neale Court. George is an amazing singer; 🎤🎸all our residents adored his mix of songs, and it is safe to say that a good time was had by all. 🤩

Two lovely moments to celebrate from last week! 🐴💍

Our residents enjoyed a sunny day out at Bransby Horses Rescue and Welfare, complete with a cuppa and cake in the café before heading out to meet the horses. There were plenty of smiles, fresh air and lots of beautiful horses to admire! ☀️🍰

Meanwhile, Imelda has been busy creating a very special wedding book for her granddaughter. She carefully put every element together and added heartfelt personal messages before taking it along to the wedding at the weekend. What a wonderful keepsake to treasure! 💜

Rock Around the Clock 🕜

Today, the residents enjoyed a new game called 'Rock Around the Clock'. This is where they have to match their numbered pegs to their paper plate. After a warm-up game, we went straight into a timed game, and Don was our winner. 🤩

I enrolled our lovely Kathy as my little helper this afternoon, as she likes to keep busy, helping me back and forth, taking various things outside for our group activity afternoon in the shade of the gazebo, armed with straw hats.
We played quite a few rounds of Target Toss where tennis balls are thrown at a Velcro score board with different scores of 20,50 and 100
Alice, our new lady, scored a whopping 770 points, with Ann in close 2nd place with a score of 680 points. We even had help from our lovely Carol's daughter playing ball girl.
After a refreshments break, we were joined by a new gentleman's family and went on to go round the group talking about the past and what job everyone used to do, favourite pastimes, and favourite foods.
It was a great way to get to know each other. 💖
A lovely afternoon was had by all until teatime. 💜

Our Employee of the Month for June goes to our lovely Kitchen assistant, Leigh. 🎉👏🏻

Leigh came to Neale Court in October 2025, and her confidence has grown in the time she has been here.

Leigh is always willing to help out and always has a smile on her face. 🥰 She interacts really well with the residents and takes her role very seriously.

It's been a busy time here with lots of birthdays to celebrate, and this time it was a very happy 86th birthday to our wonderful resident, Derek! 🎉🎂

Derek enjoyed celebrating his special day with plenty of smiles and, of course, a nice afternoon whisky. 🥃
