We need your help to keep The Li'l Community Hub + Soundbites running, while we navigate funding/grants, which have become increasingly more difficult to access.
We have seen so many people benefit from our services, and it is heart breaking to imagine not being available to those who need us most.

A pleasant surprise today at The Li'l Community Hub + Soundbites when Ciaran Skipper, trombone player, from Spanish City Rollers popped in, and is making use of the music suite, to practice and record.
Made us feel really proud to have the facilities available, especially when we see the first reactions of delight 😊
That's what all the work is for and so worth it ❤️

We had a great time at this mornings ukulele session. With experienced players, and complete beginers!

It's for everyone.

We began with introductions, a chat about what we all would like from the sessions.

Fiona Mathieson and her lovely husband David, familiarised us with tuning ukueles, and taught us beginners some notes.

I now know how to play row row row yer boat:)

Lots more tunes to learn and share.

Can't wait for next week:)

From 15th June-17th August, excluding the 2nd Mon of the month.

What a great idea 💡

📚 Calling all local authors, readers and book lovers…

We’re thinking about doing more to support and celebrate local authors across North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland, particularly Tynemouth & Whitley Bay.

Exactly what that looks like is still being pondered, but ideas include:

📖 Reviews of books written by local authors

📚 A monthly book club focused on local writers

✍️ Author interviews and features

Most importantly, we’d like to help local authors get their books in front of more local people (as we didn't realise just how many talented authors we have in our local community).

So…

✍️ If you enjoy writing book reviews and would like to be involved, get in touch.

📖 If you’d be interested in joining a book club focused on books written by local authors, get in touch.
